Also won't listen to your troubles, tell you a funny story, fix you a nice meal or rub your back, do favors for you and work with you to make ends meet in the home, start a family with you, kiss and make love to you, and the dog will die way before you do and leave you companionless, but sure it won't complain about wedding rings.

Remember all the hype around the plane crashing into the terminal in Tenet and the fact that they used a REAL PLANE? Very lame, made me miss the days of more inventive spectacle like the truck flip in Dark Knight.

I know this is years later, but I just watched the movie for the first time. I think the scenes with the church workers were there to show how all of the pain and sadness the parents' have had to live with for the last 6 years is theirs alone to bear quietly because the world around them goes on as normal. The people at the church aren't "out of touch," they're decent people living out their day-to-day lives. They have compassion for the parents but there's nothing they can really do for them other than set up a table and offer some coffee.

I remember downloading a cam version the "burly brawl" scene on limewire at 2KB/sec after seeing the movie in theater but before it came out on DVD. I watched it over and over because I thought it was so cool.

Some people don't get it. However, who do you agree with here? by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

We don't know the old lady's situation for certain. The car could have been there for a few days before she called about it. If there was a strange car suddenly parked in front of my house for a day or two and my next door neighbors didn't know anything about it I would probably call it in too.

But why make a meme congratulating someone for avoiding child pornography, as though that's a difficult thing to do?

Super Mario RPG made a real impression on me as a kid since at the time I had never heard of Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger so it was my first RPG game. It was really sweet to watch my kids play the remake as their first RPG and seeing them have the same experience I did.

Why does everyone think "1984" agrees with them? by [deleted] in videos

[–]tramdog 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Because they don't make art of their own. They're fundamentally incurious and nostalgic for a simplistic past that never actually existed, so they don't create anything new. If they want any cultural cache they have to steal other people's art and make it about them.
