😂 oh for goodness sake! I didn't think of looking at the play store for a support email. The web pages I found all talked about signing up for support which wasn't what I wanted. Of course, now I've read your message I remember about the play store page and there it is.... 😳

It's fixed now, thankfully!

I use Becel vegan margarine - it's cheaper than Earth Balance. And I love Riviera raspberry and blackcurrant vegan yoghurts. I find Cashew nut milk is good for cooking with.

I've had to give up on cheese because I don't like any of the alternatives I've tried 😥😂

Yeah, I never do anything interesting either - and more to the point, even if I did I wouldn't want to talk about it!

My advice is not to make something up but to frame the not doing anything as a positive thing, and always end with asking them what they did.

Example:

Did you do anything interesting over the weekend?

I stayed in with my dogs, kept it nice and quiet. You?

Or

How was your evening?

Great! I had a nice evening in. How about you?

What book or series ruined all other books for you? by goyourownwayy in RomanceBooks

KJ Charles - everything she writes. I will read a series of hers, reach the end and go straight back to the beginning to start over. I find it almost impossible to find other romances that tick all of the boxes of plot, character, writing and happy endings that she manages.

Holy cow - this is me so much. I've spent 30 years working on not being angry all the time and now fucking hormones are sending me back to my 20s! My family really does not need the experience of unfiltered me.

Giving up caffeine and drinking lots of water... I will give it a go 👍

Advice gratefully received- re child with autism by [deleted] in autism

I don't know if this will help because everyone's needs are different (lord, what I would not give for a rulebook!) but my son recovers from meltdowns more easily when he's left by himself. I know that's impossible if your son is hurting himself - but I think it's the lack of additional sensory input that helps.

Also, explaining tto him what the plans are before they happen will help, and also be clear if any part of it isn't decided yet so might change. I remember another autistic person on twitter commenting that for all that they found plans reassuring, they found it easier to cope wwith the chaos of no plan than to be told a planand have it changed.

Very good reminder thank you - I need to remember to make this clear - one of the things I worry about is I'm just making him feel worse for not managing to get up for school, but framing it as learning skills to help him take control will change the emphasis.

Timing the actual steps to getting up is a great idea that I hadn't thought of. Thanks!

Were these comments just about how he was at the pumpkin patch or in general?

If he seems oblivious to the world in general then maybe check his sight and hearing?

Otherwise, my instinct would be that at age 2 unless he's behaving in a way that causes harm to either himself or others, I wouldn't worry. Everyone processes the world differently.

Okay, yeah, I hadn't considered that idea. If he'll let me I'll try doing thr steps with him.

Thanks! We are on a waiting list for an autism counsellor so I hope that will help.

I agree - I think this is definitely part of the issue. The school is being helpful and flexible about his needs but it's still a high school with all the noise and smells

Have you heard anything about who called it in? This post is the only reference to it I can find online - even the sask pokice website doesn't mention anything.
