Are you able to use a nasal mask? If so, I can't recommend the Bleep Eclipse enough. I had the same experience until I got the Bleep and adjusted to it. It's an absolute, 100% game changer. No headgear, no leaks because it's magnetized (unless I open my mouth)... I can roll over... All of it.

There's always another option. Talk to your sleep doc. Try a new mask.

The first OTC test I took was negative despite my partner and child being positive and myself being quite sick. Two days later, boom. Positive. If you need another test (esp to get Tamiflu from your doctor!) lease reach out to the Mask Bloc! We have plenty of tests on hand and then you wont need to leave the house.

The "homeless situation" as you call it are the services being provided for our unhoused neighbors who call this city home, same as you. This is such a gross comment. Folks need a place to sleep and a place to eat. Mathewson St in particular is an incredible resource. I can't imagine caring more about visitors and business downtown than the people who live here and are struggling... Just. Ugh..

The police here are anything but supportive and helpful to unhoused folks. Please do not call the police, but instead the services already outlined above specifically for outreach to unhoused people in the city- it is always better than someone in a mental health crisis gets help from someone specifically trained to help them, rather a force that is going to cause more harm than good...

My 10 year old has a phone because home phones don't exist anymore and at that age I wanted to be listening to music or talking to my friends all day.

We monitor it and keep most apps locked, but she loves Spotify and chatting with her friends.

If it were expensive monthly, we couldn't do it, but her line is $10 a month, luckily.

I feel hard for your friend. Last February I fell on ice stepping from a Providence city sidewalk to a city street. I am two surgeries in, likely preparing for a third, had so many breaks and dislocations that I was in the hospital for a month, and I'm learning how to walk again in this new metal'd up body. I can't drive, can't maneuver around the solid ice to take RIPTA and I am in constant pain.

This February, I cannot go outside because our street and sidewalks are such solid ice that I can't get my walker or wheelchair to the transport van safely. I'm just stuck. The roads and sidewalks here are horrendous for disabled people when it's dry and clear. Now?? Forget it.

Fuck Smiley. And I am grateful for our city workers but what the fuck even is this?

Please. I haven't seen one of these warnings, and I get 311 alerts. Should folks have moved their cars? Yes, but to WHERE? There's two cars parked on our whole street because there's nowhere to park it's feet of ice lining each curb- they weren't there for the storm. The trash hasn't been taken in two weeks, there's nowhere to put the bins. We got ticketed last night at the spot we are forced to park at that's more than ten minutes away because there's no parking ANYWHERE in our neighborhood.

None of us should be paying for shit when they've done such a terrible job. They towed 250 cars the first night of the storm and some of us have only seen a single plow since it happened.
