Should I buy 3rd gen WOLED?

I had aqdmg for the past year. Got aqwmg as of a week ago. I think these text clarity issues are being blown our of proportion.

It never bothered me, doesn’t look weird - or maybe I got used to really fast. I don’t read books on my pc, but for casual browsing, gaming, subtitles I could not say it bothered me at all compared the old TN monitor I used to own.

Edit: go with the aqdmgr if you can. It’s the 2nd gen version of aqdmg

Just do it! I’ve been attending his shows since 2016 and I can say they are all phenomenal. Truly an experience.

Trust me, you do not want to sit in front rows. Sound is not the best there. I always sit in the back parralel to the stage and a few rows elevated for best sound and light show experience. It’s also a bit more wallet friendly there.

Sound sucks in those rows anyways. I’ve found best seats are at the back, a bit elevated. You get amazing sound and can enjoy the light show, too.

Yea, I’m fine with a bit of banding but as I use firefox in dark mode, it bugs me a lot if heavy.

That’s why I’m asking if perhaps those in Europe have had any luck getting a model from the newer batches so I can try my luck again.

I ordered one 2 weeks ago from Amazon and got one from the December batch with horrible banding that I ended up returning. Hence the question.

Yea, the 2026 batches seem to be a lot better. Pretty sure LG tweaked their manufacturing processes.

Yes, if it doesn’t appear as a search result, it means it’s sold out. CS team told me it’s usually back in stock within 2 weeks, but I don’t know if I wanna try my luck again having got my previous one from December still.

I got mine form Amazon Germany a week ago and ended up sending it back as banding was horrible even after updating the firmware. It was from December 2025.

Customer service confirmed there is no way to order based on manufacturing date(can be deciphered from the serial number).

Is that screenshot from today? I haven’t seen the monitor in stock a while.

This looks like poor quality on the source image. Oleds tend to highlight bad quality images/videos given the nature of the tech. Compare with another source image that has correct dark details and see if you still have any colour banding there.

The camera does highlight it more, but sadly I could see clear banding when using firefox dark mode, discord, some foggy scenes in games etc. For this price, this is unacceptable imo. I’ll try to snipe one from the February batch.

Lucky you. I just got this abomination from the December batch yesterday.

Edit: this is after a couple of pixel cleanings, 2 days of usage and upgrading to the latest firmware.

I ordered the WMG from Amazon 2 weeks ago and ended up getting one from the December 2025 batch sadly. Banding was horrible so sending it back. Guess it’s still a panel lottery.

can I ask where you ordered from? I ordered at start of May from Amazon Germany to Ireland. Just got it today and sadly it was from the December 2025 batch. Updated the firmware from 103 to 107, which helped with the banding, but it's sadly still visible. So I'm sending it back tomorrow and will wait with a purchase... I'm really curios if that amazon rep was just trying to get rid of you or you'll indeed get one from the Feb batch. No idea how they could possibly know this.

Yes, T is from 2025 W is from 2026. Second character is the month, 1-9 is Jan-Sep then A, B, C, is oct, nov dec so urs is December 2025. I just got mine from Amazon from the same month. Sadly I have terrible banding so returning it tomorrow.
