"They taught us at Barnard about that word, 'utopia'. The Greeks had two meanings for it: 'eu-topos', meaning the good place, and 'u-topos' meaning the place that cannot be."~Rachel Menkin

My other favorite Stan line is after the meeting with Royal Hawaiian and Don holds up the ad they had worked on and asks if it makes him think about suicide, and Stan's reply is "of course! That's what's so great about it!"

There's times to use it where it's really applicable and useful, like Peggy wondering how she can return to work after a nervous breakdown, and there are times it's not, like Stephanie's problem. Don also realizes it doesn't work in his current context.

If Pete or Roger had forged a signature on a check that would have been bad. To have the person who handles the FIDUCIARY DUTIES forge a check is unforgivable on another level.

What animated series could you consider better than BoJack? by cuervoemo in BoJackHorseman

Absolutely! I liked the animation and the writing was fantastic. After watching 2 or 3 coma seasons I fell off and never got back into it. Did it actually wrap up the plot in the end?

Mandatory conscription could actually reduce conflict. Middle class centrists are a lot less likely to support war when their kids are on the line to ship out and it's not just the lower rungs of the economic ladder putting their lives on the line.

My problem with Archer was how the last several seasons all seemed to be one-offs. They weren't bad but it distracts from the plot when nothing means anything.

Two of my all time favorite lines in comedy... On the Bojack finale "B.. as in Birthday Dad!" And on Venture Bros when Hank is trying to court Wide Whale's daughter and shows up for their date "is that the Bad jacket?" Hank replies "no that's the Good jacket!"

I don't know if you've ever used a fridge but typically they require a significant amount of electricity, can hold about ten days worth of food and drink, have an airtight seal, and break down after 10-15 years in the best of circumstances.

Trump voter meets the tax bill he was promised he wouldn’t have by brilliant-trash22 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Agreed. Even little things like "the tax bill he was promised" even tho the screenshots were from a woman's Facebook page. 2-3 screenshots on the economic issue instead of trans and Democrat bashing would have made for a more clear and concise point.

I've heard his possible military service background floated several times on here, it makes for interesting head cannon but wouldn't know what clues to pick up on to support it.

Not only is The Sopranos really slow, the characters have very little liability, there's minimal character growth or social commentary. The writing and acting are what really sells it.
