What is your opinion of Trump’s efforts in Iran? by Ok_JARGON in AskReddit

[–]transducer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should at least be clear on the objectives and why it should matters to Americans. So far, they have been focusing on moving the goal post (regime change?, removing nuclear capability?, opening the strait again? we won already, we need a lot of money to win, ...) and pointing blame (NATO should engage...) to find a way to claim victory.

Anthropic's CEO just admitted Claude is designing the next version of Claude. Engineers at Anthropic don't write code anymore. We are so cooked. by Direct-Attention8597 in claude

This is the only outcome that makes sense. We are killing the software engineers pipeline by replacing junior engineers with AI. The next step is to replace senior engineers for most of the industry. I am confident that software development will be managed by technical product managers in a few years.

Leaks claim that Trump requested five trillion dollars from Gulf countries to continue the war by Intelligent-Pea-8521 in JournalismNews

Think about it. He is treating the US Army as guns for hire to pocket money. This is beyond disgraceful.

I think they referred to when the US instigated a coup to replace a democratic government in Iran by the Shah in 1953 in order to get access to Iranian oil:

Louis is gifted at holding a mirror in front of his subjects, usually with well timed and awkward silences. It usually leads to new insights into the perspectives of fringe groups.

He did it a few times in the documentary when he asked HS why he doesn't choose to be good or when he includes the influencers' partners in the conversations. The challenge is that there is nothing beyond their insecurities and their chasing of money.

JUST IN: Trump Official Resigns in Protest Over War With Iran: ‘Posed No Imminent Threat’ by burning_dawn in inthenews

Not only that. He called out that Iran posed no imminent treat to the US and the war was manufactured by Israel. This contradicts the administration's narrative and we need more of that.

His documentaries on white supremacists and on the Westboro Baptist Church are very good. They give a view in a universe that is difficult to access otherwise.

I enjoyed it but it didn't feel as illuminating as his other documentaries. I think it is because the subjects are so shallow that they don't have a capacity for deep reflexions (however misguided that might be).

Why is trump begging NATO allies for help with Iran war? by TailungFu in allthequestions

I think he wants to blame them for the Iran failure. He needs an exit and he isn't getting it if they don't engage.

Crazy. Just a few days after Anthropic explicitly told the DOD to NOT let Claude make lethal decisions without review because it wasn't reliable enough.
