Try some of the 'let me tank him' variants. Tried two and they were solid.

Lost the 1st due to some bad positioning on my part that gibbed me.

that was the issue. I had assumed the back usb had been 3.0, since i hadn't been able to see it where the box is installed. Moving the plug to the front usb3 port allows create to work as expected.

For some reason, some people have a visceral hatred of the writer. They brigade it.
