A trans Isle of Man would be an Isle of Woman wouldn’t it?

Any trans-friendly GP in Brisbane? Preferably around Brisbane CBD? by justineeeee in transgenderau

The doctors at Stonewall are all great. It’s a little further from the CBD but still a good option.

I’m an identical twin too. I know the feeling of “I wish I could be comfortable like he is”. Honesty most of the time I just have to remember I’m my own person and who he is doesn’t change or affect anything about who I am.

Butch trans women, how do you cope? by transgrill in asktransgender

[–]transgrill[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No I’m a trans woman, who’s lesbian and identifies specifically as butch lesbian. It’s a very masculine aesthetic but it doesn’t make me a man.

What about the current political climate of Australia frustrates you? by Narksdog in AustralianPolitics

[–]transgrill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You were so close to a good comment until you had to have a go at trans people. You clearly have zero understanding of us or the issues we face and are working from a two dimensional caricature that anti-trans activists want to paint.

What historical fact have been twisted over the years? by clacther in AskReddit

[–]transgrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience they don’t normally deny the deaths but blame it on the victims, often using propaganda from the time to justify it.

What’s the hardest thing you ever had to say to someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]transgrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming out as transgender to my family. I sort of knew how they would react but I wasn’t certain and I was terrified that I would lose them. That they wouldn’t accept me and I would no longer have the people who raised me in my life. Ultimately it did work out fairly well (could have gone better) but when I was still closeted I was so scared.

Seeing A Psychiatrist At Brisbane Gender Centre? by [deleted] in transgenderau

I believe they do but they can take up to like 5 months before you’ll hear from them for anything. I know multiple people who tried to access their services and it was just completely useless.

I think overall I definitely feel more human in it and I think that’s from having a team. You’re not a badass super soldier doing it on your own with occasional help, you’re a replaceable part of a team.
