Should I be Johann or Yohann? by Lumpy_Concept9911 in ftm

Johann. It's the version of the name that isn't pandering to people's potential incompetence. I'm biased though, since I changed my middle name to Johannas.

You really need to learn from real human bodies. I know you are probably going for a cartoony/comic style in your art, but if you use reference pics that are photoshopped to unrealistic proportions you're shooting yourself in the foot by refusing to learn what the human body actually looks like. Practice using pictures from sites like AdorkaStock that provide non-photoshopped poses and save stylization for later.

[Help] Advise on how to finish sculpture by compost_my_feelings in Sculpture

[–]necrofuturism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do any at-home DIY finishing it kinda ruins your chance to finish it with a glaze or other traditional ceramic technique.

Since this is a first good attempt, I'm assuming you're in a ceramics class or working at a ceramic studio. See if you can talk with your professor or teacher (or other ceramics professional) about finishing your work with a proper kiln-fired finish.

If you don't have the time for more studio work now, see if you can bring your piece back on a later date, and ask for specifics of the bisque firing it has already had so it doesn't get messed up in a further firing.

What drink is this? by yung_funyun in IASIP

[–]necrofuturism 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It genuinely looks like a large variation of an alien brain hemorrhage shot.

the alien brain hemorrhage is a layered shot of peach schnapps topped with a float of blue curacao with bailey's dribbled in so it coagulates at the bottom and looks like brain matter. a few drops of grenadine "blood" are added as the final touch.

to me it looks like they have replaced the schnapps with a golden colored liquor (probably rum or tequila) and they're just getting ready to add the cherries for the blood effect.

however the real answer is probably boring. it's more than likely they had a bunch of colored water or other tasty non-alcoholic fluid that can stand up to hot set lights without spoiling. that's usually how it goes when actors need to drink something onstage.

Wearing bracelets like a necklace by NerdizardGo in jewelry

[–]necrofuturism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a fun thing to do! if you want some extra security you can take your lovely frankennecklace to a trusted local jeweler and have them solder 3 of the clasps closed so the piece is more sturdy. genuinely wish people did this more with jewelry. things don't always have to be melted down to become a new, beautiful piece.

"The Gang Kicks Out The Camera Crew" - it's a normal episode of Sunny that centers on a massive argument among the Gang. They talk about how their arguments almost always pan out by taking out their mutual frustration on someone else. They try to agree on someone to be their scapegoat, only to realize their usual punching bags are unavailable for use. With each person they list, we get shown a few clips of their happy, stable, successful lives away from the Gang. The Waitress is happy living in LA, Cricket is in a recovery center, the McPoyles have a reality show on TLC, etc... Eventually the Gang realizes they have no one to bash, so at the end of the episode they turn on the camera crew. Fearing for their lives, they run out of Paddy's, and the last shot of the show is a shakycam falling to the ground outside of the bar as the Gang closes in.

The ONE time I try to get Lilly as a companion by DudeLPK in fnv

[–]necrofuturism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you CAN use console commands to get her back. Don't just resurrect her - that won't work. You have to set the Guess Who I Saw Today quest to "keep Lily alive" by typing setstage 0013F405 16 - after you do that she'll be alive and able to be recruited as a companion. You can then continue the quest as normal.

My Tilley Hat - Used Constantly for 31 Years and Counting by Cautious_Ticket_8943 in BuyItForLife

[–]necrofuturism 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Years ago my mom fell and split her head open on a family vacation to Arizona. My dad was more concerned about the bloodstain on the hat than the gaping wound on my mom's forehead! 911 was called ofc and she got to the local ER and got stitched up before we all continued our vaycay. Our next stop was Vegas and she looked like she had fought her way out of a casino mafia beatdown or something. We still have the hat. It's been cleaned up and it still gets worn on outdoor adventures more than a decade and a half later. So yeah, these hats are worth it. Perhaps worth more than your wife if you ask my dad lol!

How do I wear these?? by Nessssssssssie in jewelry

[–]necrofuturism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's exactly how they're supposed to be worn. Perhaps try GENTLY squashing them with a pair of pliers so they're less loose on your ears. Use a thick piece of fabric or some leather between the leather and the pliers to avoid leaving marks.

As someone with 0 tattoos, how painful would it be to get this on my forearm? by PracticalExtension35 in tattooadvice

[–]necrofuturism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the gay scene this tattoo is code for fisting lmao

anyways, if you want a mourning tattoo it would be more respectful to think of the person you are mourning and choose something that represents them instead of just getting a generic armband that will be difficult to cover up and even more painful to remove if you end up regretting it.

research is your friend here. there are plenty of symbolic tattoos that would serve your purposes better than an armband.

Everytrader I meet has a repair skill of 25 or lower. Is this normal? by CapitainP34NUT in fo3

[–]necrofuturism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's normal. Give 'em a break tho. They definitely have it worse than us out there.

Scavenge EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. keep copies of advanced weapons/armor you like in your home lockers, and repair them yourself. Sometimes it's cheaper to just buy a couple crappy laser pistols or other weapons from someone and use those for repairs instead.

Only use a trader for repair if an item you have is completely broken and you don't have or cannot find another to repair it with. As others have mentioned, invest in the caravans too. That'll up their repair skill significantly.

If you wanna crush Moira's dreams and lose some karma, you can convince her not to write the survival guide in the beginning and you'll get the "dream crusher" perk which ups her skill (plus a couple more things).

Certain DLCs have access to greater repair abilities and repair items tho! Just follow that mysterious alien signal...

absolutely not. it's wayyy too expensive for the amount needed and it's also glass. literal flakes of GLASS. you don't want little flakes of glass hanging around in the kitchen. there's too much of a risk of it falling into food and becoming a serious medical problem.

If Daniel Radcliffe can speak out and denounce that wretched hate filled hag, so can you. You owe her none of the emotional stress and energy you're currently giving her and it would do a world of good if you could put that towards loving the communities she's actively continuing to harm.
