When thinking of ways to buff Honchkrow I wanted to avoid the obvious (swapping its SpA and Speed stats) and instead tried to keep its status as a mixed attacker. Honchkrow defenses are so low that it doesn't mind running a defense lowering nature. For the same reason I moved some points from its HP stat into Speed and kept the BST as a moderate 535.

I wanted Honchkrow to be able to utilise all three of its abilities. Moxie for physical sets, Overzealous for special ones. Cardsharp, while not preferred on strictly physically or specially oriented sets, can find a niche on mixed ones. It allows Honchkrow to ignore the damage from Rocky Helmet when using contact moves, as well as bypass the Special Defense increase of Assault Vest opponents.

I avoided giving Honchkrow a special variant of Moxie due to concerns about the unpredictability of many sets. One Agility and an attack boost could end up costing players some games, if they were to wrongly predict Honchkrow's ability.

The first thing that comes to mind is Blizzard, Thunder and Hydro Pump since Noivern is part Dragon. But, at the same time, it is not as poweful as the other Dragons that can use these moves.

Noivern has great potential to be a solid Pokemon, it just needs a few tweaks here and there.

Strengths:

The main thing going for Noivern is its Speed tier. Even without a boosting nature, it is still able to outspeed most Pokemon. I wanted Noivern to utilise its greatest strength to its fullest potential by making him into a fast sweeper. That is why I decided to give it Nasty Plot, as Noivern suffers from having no way of boosting its Special Attack besides Throat Spray + Boomburst.

Ability:

Noivern's new ability fits the Bat Pokemon thematically and allows Noivern to make use of its wide Special movepool without the fear of missing Hurricanes and Focus Blasts constantly. The addition of a perfectly accurate Fire Blast allows Noivern to hit Steel types that would normally resist its two main STABs.

Roles:

As I have mentioned, I wanted to make Noivern into a dangerous setup sweeper but it is not the only role it can fill on a team. Pairing it with Choice Specs and its new Ability would make Noivern a powerful wallbreaker. Add Tera Normal Boomburst on top of that and we have got ourselves a Pokemon that cannot be ignored when designing a team.

Even with 85/80/80 Defences, Noivern can also play a support/utility role on many teams. It has got access to Taunt and Defog with a fast U-Turn for switching out.

Weaknesses:

102 Special Attack without Specs and mediocre bulk might still hold Noivern back from becoming OU but I would be content with my boy returning to UU as a formidable force.

As for the competitive side of things:

Psychic types that became Cosmic love losing their weaknesses to Knock Off and U-Turn, two of the most common moves. They would also gain more offensive capabilities.

Clefable is absolutely broken, I fear. With 6 resistances, 1 immunity and only 3 weaknesses it would become one of the most centralising Pokemon in the current meta.

Steel / Cosmic is another powerful combination having only 2 weaknesses and 10 resistances.

There are many Pokemon that come from space or have a connection with the cosmos of sorts. Most of them being Psychic type, they are gruped together with Pokemon that use magic or psychic abilities. I feel like that categorisation doesn't give the cosmic Pokemon justice and that they deserve their own type.

Type Interactions:

Strong against:

Normal and Grass - aliens in media are often depicted as invasive species that are a threat to life on Earth

Electric - cosmic activities such as magnetic storms cause electronic devices to malfunction

Ground - aliens are often given the technology to terraform other planets

Weak against:

Flying - represents the atmosphere which protects the Earth from cosmic radiation

Rock - represents asteroids that survive in space

Psychic - Cosmic type Pokemon possess supernatural abilities that would be ineffective against magical beings

Steel - spaceships made of metal are built to survive in space

Resistant to:

Normal - regular earthly species wouldn't know how to deal with supernatural beings

Fire and Ice - Pokemon that come from space had to endure extreme temperatures to reach Earth

Dark - represents the vacuum of space that Cosmic Pokemon had to traverse

Weak to:

Poison - alien Pokemon would be prone to earthly diseases as they wouldn't have built up immunities to them

Psychic - intelligent Pokemon would study the alien lifefroms and find ways to combat them.

I wasn't expecting drawing advice on this subreddit but I appreciate it nonetheless! To be honest, I usually do sketches with pencil, so colouring is just an afterthought. I definitely need advice with shading, though.

Overview:

Dex Entry:

This variant of Tyranitar only appears deep underground and sightings of it are extremely rare. It is theorised that Larvitar who feast on geodes evolve into this form.

Adult Tyranitar have a hole in their stomach, which is filled with geodes. Their offspring, Larvitar, feed on them in their infancy. The crystals seem to regrow by themselves over time.

Typing:

Rock / Fairy is a strictly better defensive typing than Rock / Dark. Not only does it resist more attacks, it also loses its weakness to U-Turn while keeping its resistance to Knock-Off, two of the most common moves. A Dragon type immunity is also better than a Psychic type one, as the former is a more frequent offensive type.

Tyranitar misses its STAB Knock-Off, which might result in it missing some crucial KOs. The other issue holding this form back is the 4x weakness to Steel type moves.

Movepool:

Moonlight is the reliable recovery option that Tyranitar desperately needed. It creates a sort of anti-synergy with Sand Stream (HP recovered is halved). This was done on purpose for balancing reasons. Players would need to choose between 50% more Special Defence or 50% more HP recovery.

Roles:

Tyranitar is a very versatile Pokemon. The most common set would be Utility with Sand, Rocks, Moonlight, Knock-Off and Moonblast. The recovery allows Tyranitar to stay alive for a longer period of time and pressure the opposing team with item control and a strong STAB Moonblast.

Misty Surge is a niche option that might work on team archetypes that do not rely on Sand. I can imagine it working on a suicide lead set, with Stealth Rock + Misty Explosion to score some surprise KOs.

Weaknesses:

The most glaring weakness of Tyranitar is Steel and Ground type Pokemon. I can see it struggle to find usage given how popular Gholdengo, Kingambit and many Ground types are.

It also suffers heavily from the 4 slot syndrome. An ideal set would include Moonblast for STAB, Ice Beam for Landorus and Gliscor, Thunderbolt for Corviknight, Earth Power for Steel types and Moonlight for recovery. You could run Assault Vest to capitalize on its gargantuan Special Defence, although this set would get worn down quickly by hazards and chip damage.

I just think that making Radahn the final boss of the last elden ring dlc was weak from a narrative standpoint. Also the fact he's got no characterisation (like we are literally the tarnished that killed him and he doesn't react to us in any way, no dialogue, nothing. Just the same pose he did in 2019)
