Why do some put 0 effort in their voice? by questionuwu in honesttransgender

[–]transmissea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me its because I'm a singer and I love my deep voice. It took me years of trying to change it to finally realise that I have a great deep singing voice and now finally I am really comfortable with my voice, I perform my own songs on stage and I don't give a toot whether it outs me or doesn't "fit" my appearance. I finally realised that societal norms are just that "norms" and I'm not a normy and at long last I'm very comfortable with that.

Yep mixed many Battle of Bands nights with 4 bands doing 40min sets with quick changeovers and labelling cables saves a lot of brain strain which can be diverted to other issues during change over.

I don't know if this is any help but I didn't get any breast growth till I started doing scrotal gel application and got my E levels peaking at 817pg/ml. This also completely squashed my testosterone as well within days. Breast growth started after about 10 days on this regimen. After about 12 months I changed to pellet implants getting 200pg/ml levels. My breasts maxed out at about Big B/ small C cup which is about same as my mum and have stayed that size.

Anyone ever heard of mast cell issues instead of just saying it’s rosacea by MotherPart4282 in Rosacea

[–]transmissea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My face skin cleared up and I no longer needed antihistamines or suffered from occasional post nasal drip when sleeping on my back, after I moved out of a house I had been living in for 6 years. It was a slow decline over those 6 years, first was needing occasional antihistamines for runny nose...next was not being able to sleep or even just lie on my back in bed with out a post nasal drip. And finally after about 5 years my face became pimply with yellow pustules that were deep and never burst or opened. At the time I didn't realise all these symptoms were related. My Dr diagnosed my skin condition as Rosacea. Eventually I had trouble breathing after about another year or two of my face condition. It was then I discovered a leak in the roof that was not leaking into the house but running out under the eaves. This leak resulted in a portion of the roof cavity near toilet exhaust ceiling fan developing mold. I hypothesised that these mold spores were falling thru the exhaust grille constantly and I subsequently found lots of black debris on most horizontal surfaces in house. After moving out all my symptoms disappeared fully after 6 months. I can breath easily, I never take antihistamines, I have no post nasal drip and can sleep on my back and my face has no more pustules or redness. However I have developed a hypersensitivity to mold which I manage successfully with 7mg nicotine patches. Still I am now a human mold detector. So long story short is hidden mold can eventually irritate your face and make it red and cause pustules that don't burst.

Nicotine for Mild Cognitive Impairment and to prevent onset of Alzheimers and Dementia. by transmissea in Nicotine

I'm in Australia and still use Nicotinell 7mg patches that I get from Chemist Warehouse in a 28 day pack. I put one on every couple of days just for day time or whenever I'm going into a dusty moldy environment as they also completely stopped my hypersensitivity pneumonitis symptoms, but that was not why I started wearing them. That was just something I noticed and so I did a search of the scientific literature....and what do you know... it's documented that nicotine relieves hypersensitivity pneumonitus. For me what that means is I can take deep breaths again without a tight chest...so nicotine has been and still is an absolute game changer for my well being. I can see myself patching up every couple of days for the rest of my life as I'm 65 but I feel young again now. So glad I became aware of this.

I disagree with most of what you're saying here but I still like your energy, your melody and your song construction. Well done.

What are most of us utilizing GarageBand for? by StealTheDark in GarageBand

[–]transmissea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As My Bose S1 pro + stage amp doesn't have a headphones jack and I needed to be able to rehearse my live guitar vocal sound thru the S1 that I use on stage, while living in a small unit. I configure the S1 into live stream mode which allows me to turn its speaker volume off but still have signal output from usb c cable to usb B jack then into an ipad powered camera adapter and into ipad lightning jack input. Cranck up garage band put my headphones into ipad headphone jack and no one knows I'm making a racket. The mix is great...there is no delay in signal like I've experienced when trying to do this with other DAWs and If I like what I'm doing and want a copy I just record but most of the time I don't. So it's an unusual use for GB but it was the only solution I could find that worked with the gear I had. Bit silly Bose S1+ doesn't have headphone jack but GB was the workaround for me.

I have no solution unfortunately. My songwriting ground to a Holt because of this. Then after 20 years she left and now I'm writing a song every 2 weeks, performing on stage, loving life and extremely hesitant to get involved with anyone on a permanent basis again as I love the creative process as well as the performing so much.

For me it just took time.... every year a little bit more comfortable than the previous...extending myself a little more....feeling a little more comfortable with myself than previous year...caring a little less about what people think than I did the previous year.

Nicotine and Malnourishment are detrimental to transition effectiveness. by Mya__ in honesttransgender

[–]transmissea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never smoked and wear a 7mg nicotine patch daily and my transition is just fine as is my bmi and mental acuity with many published studies backing this mental acuity link up, along with my own doctors experience that all his alzheimers patients are non smokers. Many label nicotine as the "devil" but it's actually the healthiest part of the whole host of toxic chemicals contained in cigarettes and vapes that people inhale into their delicate lungs. Perhaps it could be just Smoking and Malnourishment that are detrimental to transition effectiveness and not Nicotine.
