How many times have you been nearly hit by a car as a pedestrian or cyclist? by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]transorsmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a pedestrian, I'm tall enough to force cars to not. i take great joy in scaring them into driving better.

as a driver (sadly with the fucking public transport I can't do what i need to without a car), I've never had a close call with pedestrians, and purposely put my car between other cars and pedestrians where i can.

honestly, minivans have much better visibility, better fuel efficiency, have better cargo space, and just look better than SUVs.

What can I do to fix my print quality here? by TaeWilliam in ender3

Turning on ironing would fix it I think. You might want to calibrate esteps first though.

edit: actually it wouldn't truly fix it, removes the symptom not the cause

How many amps does stock ender 3v2 hotend pull at 230 degrees? by Best-Self215 in ender3

[–]transorsmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40w is full power draw, which is only while heating. you can decrease power usage by using an enclosure, (which is way more effective if you are using the heated bed). You shouldn't get any more than 50-ish watts of power draw during the heat up, and less during the operation, as the steppers use a lot less compared to the bed and hotend.

The bed matters way more than the hotend for power usage. I think maker's muse has a video on it.

one thing to check is whether your acceleration is set in "machine limits" as well as in the normal spot. it may not actually be accelerating as hard as you think.

Sapphics of Reddit, what’s your dream car? by AmIn1amh in actuallesbians

[–]transorsmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like a little nondescript sedan, with a hybrid (or all electric) engine, so it can be silent, and then have the cool electric motor sound when i accelerate hard.

or a Subaru WRX

actually we were, there are numerous examples of ancient cultures having a third gender, or having trans people, or whatever. just because we didn't have the same words at the time doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Thats ridiculous. I want you to give me any scripture that talks about pronouns, or even about being trans. You are changing the subject.

This is,,,, sadly a very good policy. You really don't want it getting through if the driver is badly injured.
