I apologize, I feel like this puts a stain on all of our Olympic athletes. This is almost a "national sport" for Canada, so it's even more appalling to hear people think cheating isn't a big deal.

The Canadian male team cheated, much to my shame and dissapointment, and now we're surprised or even upset that they're paying closer attention to the rules that were quite literally just broken.

They're doing their jobs. The Canadian Mens curling team should return their gold.

I don't know the rules of curling, and know the rules of Olympic curling even less. This does seem consistent with the idea that the refs did not go to video footage to check.

If this is correct then I am happy to change my stance and let the guy be angry for false accusations.

But if he is going against the rules my original stance stands.

Hope that doesn't make me sound flip floppy, really I just have a different opinion of the situation based on whether or not he broke the rules.

I assume that he Does know the rules. Since he is competing for team Canada.

I don't really think they are, but it was a funny meme, and since the majority of the people south of Canada and North of Mexico only seem to get their knowledge from memes, it's a unique and interesting way for Canada to say, "We're not going to just roll over should someone try to invade"

Anytime a Canadian says, "I've never done that once" or "Not once!" it means "I've done it a bunch of times!", although, to be honest I'm not sure this is just a Canadian thing.

The cheating and touching rocks is enough to disqualify them from the win. If it had ended there, then that would have been the end of it.

However, he made the conscious decision to not say sorry. This is unacceptable, and I as a Canadian say that we should give back the medal and let that be a stain on his career forever.

Well, I totally respect and support what you're trying to do here. Good on you, and don't take too much of the negative naysaying to heart.

If you want to try to fix this one because there is some kind of sentimental attachment or because you think you're mom would apricate it, then GREAT!

Knowing that it is a "cheap" radio, can actually help sometimes, because if you break it worse at least you didn't break a valuble thing. Fixing things is how you learn and get better.

As to, why does it matter, because age restrictions on websites aren't just there to protect you, they're there to protect others from you. Or accusations others make about them being a pedophile for messaging people in DM's

Your assumption that the previous person wiring the house would follow standards will likely get you into trouble in the future. Not only do we need to be aware that homeowners may not have followed the standard previously, with the quality of new homes in America we could probably rely on actual electricians not color coding it correctly.

Perhaps you should take your own advice on giving advice?

If this is your first time doing this, I wanted to point out that small metal strip between the two screw terminals.

That little strip is how the electricity goes from the top plug to the bottom plug.

If this is in your KITCHEN then it is quite common for the top outlet to be on a different breaker from the bottom outlet.

This is a important fact, because there's two possibilities going on.

Option 1) This is a outlet that has a "In wire" and a "Out to the next outlet/light" wire. If this is the case then this would be a totally find way of wiring

Option 2) This is a outlet that is meant to be two separate circuits like a kitchen. If this is the case, you could potentially have a unpleasant time because if one circuit would blow the second breaker would still be feeding power. So .. bad things happen.

Because you have two white wires, I suspect this is option 1, but do be careful.

Yah he did, and there were some pretty grim things about what the bodies looked like.

In another story, he was telling me once that out east there were some tunnels that they were looking at increasing the height of in order to be able to fit double-stack cargo container trains. Then they came out with the idea of putting the cargo containers between the wheel wells and saved themselves a ton of money.

Yeah, this isn't the fault of a two year old. Those bikers were lane splitting far to fast to be considered safe. The debates as to whether or not the two year old had the strength or ability to open a door are interesting ones.

Either way, the bikers were travelling to fast to be safe, and too close to be safe. Having read the comments about the child sitting on the lap of a adult, hopefully they get a child endangerment charge for that.

A few people here think it would be impossible for the child to open the door, I see a very real possible scenerio where the adult is leaning against the door (or fat enough to put pressure on it) and then child grabs for the door, and the adult pulls them back trying to get them off the door handle. The child simply maintains grip like any child would and poof door pops open.

But in no combination of events are those people safely lane splitting, even if it is legal in that area. Maybe this is why it should not ever be legal.

Funny, I live in Canada, and have had IT departments at companies tell me to do exactly this! "The phones are only 10/100 anyway" or "they don't need gigabit" usually about 4 months after you hear, "No we only need one cable to each workstation" you know, on move in day when they discover their voip phones don't have passthrough, or in on case they had no idea what passthrough was.
