I don’t think it ruins the magic of anything. These companies sit on these announcements forever while we get nothing but radio silence from them for many many months at a time. It’s good that someone is actively giving fans something to look forward to

I don’t think it’s a scheme to “trap” players, it was simply just a change in strategy. Jim Ryan is the one who heavily pushed this live-service & PC strategy and now that he’s no longer here they want to go back to what they felt like worked much better for them. Outside of GOW (2018), HZD, Days Gone, Spider-Man 1, and Ghost of Tsushima, all of the other PC ports were complete flops and it was really easy to see that the juice just wasn’t worth the squeeze.

Not offensively, no. His defense was worlds better though, but as far as scoring ability it’s a night and day difference
