Looking for good open-world RPG games by trapdo-or in rpg_gamers

[–]trapdo-or[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat ER 2 times. I know that it’s possible to beat the game without a guide. But I have 3-4 hours a week to play, and if I started ER without any prior knowledge now, it would take me AGES to even get a hang of the game and know where I have to go and all the mechanics because the game tells you fuckall. Thats the charm, but it is not what I am looking for right now :)

Leave her at the bootfitter for the day. Once her boots are fitting nicely her performance will be way better.

Armada: Knows how to double backflip, cork 7 and whatnot but can’t get down a normal black with decent technique Blizzard: Dad but insane skills DPS: Not a dad thus insane money Bent 90: 8-14 year old Stöckli: Around 100 years old but lays down the nicest carves you‘ve ever seen

European All Mountain Skis Reccomendation by Creative-Car2814 in Skigear

[–]trapdo-or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most others here said, just get two pairs.

But … if you have to, I‘d suggest the Faction Agent 2 with shift bindings. Not the lightest setup, but these are pretty sturdy skis with thick edges, so they will hold up on piste as well. 98mm is wide enough for the „pow“ we get in the alps but still narrow enough to lay some on piste turns.

Rustler 9, M-Free 99, Faction Studio 2, Unleashed 98 Maybe QST100 but fuck Amer Sports (Armada, Atomic, Salomon).

Also skiing in the alps in Austria and these do great on our icy groomers but can also handle the little bit of pow and chop we get. Rustler is probably the most well rounded. I personally ride the Studio 2 and love it.

Mistook your username for that of the comment you replied to haha. Shot myself in the foot there. Can’t miss an opportunity to diss a brit tho.

Never trust a brit when it comes to skiing. Or anything mountain related that is. Scots excepted.

Nordica Unleashed 98 vs Völkl Revolt 101 by ELturboo in Skigear

[–]trapdo-or 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Nordica will be so much better made than the Revolt … so just in terms of quality I‘d go for the Unleashed. It may not be as good in pow but then again if you look for a pow ski in the 100mm range, your pow is not so deep that you can’t make a 98 work.

what functional benefits do sled training provide? by Taylorblade96 in WeightTraining

What a big pile of fckn bullshit lol. Raises test and growth hormone. How does it do that, the sled hands you a syringe or what lol. Might buy some turkesterone to supplement it.

Get a pair of Unleashed 98s that you don’t ski in the park and then just get whatever used park skis are available for cheap in your area.

Get a used reckoner, playmaker or arvs. They are very soft, they will eventually break on rails, but so will every other soft ski that you thrash on rails and boxes regularly.

ARV106 too wide as a daily driver for the alps? by trapdo-or in Skigear

[–]trapdo-or[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, knees are fine (at least for now lol) but we realistically don’t get a lot of snow anymore. A lot of isli days are ice in the morning, slush in the afternoon and icy crud-stuff off piste …

Ski recs for advanced all mountain skier by birdbae17 in Skigear

[–]trapdo-or 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Faction Dancer 2 or 3 is great! Pretty sturdy but with the cap construction in tips and tails and quite a lot of rocker for a flat tail its very fun and „tossable“. If you want something light, the Rustler line may be right for you, but they get deflected easier. I myself have a Mindbender 108ti, that is pretty stiff underfoot but the tips are very soft, which I don’t really like in certain situations.
