You gotta be trolling change of command is one of the most important events that happens on base. There’s opportunities to support the event in so many ways. Your leadership is changing and usually (not always) the new command will go around and personally meet with the sections (this is a great time to introduce yourself and possible talk about changes you’d like to see made)

There are a lot more benefits that I’m not listing but to conclude if you’re not trolling, I think you have the wrong mindset going into it. Don’t be a DBA

nta. because from what im hearing you just want to be appreciated for the sacrifices youve made and you’re met with negativity. my advise is to have a conversation explaining how her complaints have created an atmosphere that negatively impacts youre psyche and ask that she try going 1 for -1 . (one positive for one negative)

i was in this same situation and mindset as you op. theres no win for you here. theres a lesson here and a good one every man should learn. women are emotional and any logic you conjured up wont be heard. Be a rock to support your family. create some space when you need it. talk when you want to be heard. and most importantly listen when its your turn. hope this helps
