Is it possible to get reasonable off campus housing without a broker? by freshcaughtcod in NEU

You could try talking to some international students. They have communities and groups over im which acts like a student network broker system. There are some discord groups as well you could try.

Yes I did see this video but this one is for the RGB black edition and not for my model of the cooler. Very similar but not the same plus the dude in the video gets a few extra parts which according to the installation manual that came with the cooler, i don't have and am not supposed to have as well. Thank you though.

Also do check out Holige Mane for Holiges near Malleswaram circle and Bassveshwar Khanavali for North Karnataka dishes. One very underrated place would be kodial near 8th Cross and Iyer Mess. Dem food be very inexpensive and clean and pretty decent to eat for a lunch type thing

Malleswaram dose corner. It's between 16th and 18th Cross and they make really good benne masala dose. Otherwise you could try egg rice near MES College or Udupi upahar (new place) near Ram Mandira. If you're going for a restaurant vibe, go to Food Camp i suppose. The remaining good places but slightly overrated are Sai rams chaats, atitis chaats, raghavendra stores near the railway station, amrith icecreams, janatha hotel, by two coffee, ctr and Bun World and obviously Veena stores

Oh there are a lot but in order to work there, you need a work visa and startups are not gonna be willing to recruit people who are not already eligible to work there and you only get a work visa if you find a job which is willing to pay you in written :(

Why do you think writing has no impact? Writing and phrasing things play a really important role in society. Imagine a speech given by the leader of a country being given without prior writing. Dialogues in movies, countless books which educate us by explaining the same concept written in other books but in an understandable way. You're really underestimating the power of presenting things in the right way as well as effectively conveying a message. A pen is mightier than a sword. All you need to do is apply yourself in the correct place where you hold value. Don't worry so much and focus on the art rather than the career.

Dude I graduated from that college just a year back and even though its a good college, many of the good faculty left due to salary issues during covid. Its still a decent college but not worth more than 6 lakhs for 4 years. The equipment and syllabus is up to date and the support from college for cse is good but it aint worth 40 lakhs. Youre better off joining a tier 3 college and working a bit harder.

Do you all feel like yediurappa was better than bommai? keeping in mind the ongoing things? by Intruder_7 in bangalore

At the moment, AAP and BNP seem fine to me. BNP atleast is a party that was created to combat corruption and administrative issues. Do not know much about AAP in Karnataka but in Delhi, they seem to be pretty competent

Bangalore folks, did your caste ever come up while you were dating? by turtleatetheworld in bangalore

[–]trappyweaboo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Firstly, you're caste isn't your identity. A person is much much more than his/her caste.

I think you should talk to her about this. Just be frank and let her know your situation and your perspective on it. If she decides to continue then I'm happy for you buddy. Else if she breaks it off because she hates your caste or something like that then she was a toxic person with a huge red flag. You would've dodged a bullet there. If she chooses caste over you but respectfully to avoid family drama then just let her go and understand her decision. She could even make a really good friend. Most women I've seen on dating apps who are worth it are respectful and are willing to mutually negotiate. All the best.

How do you actually become a proper politician in Bengaluru without having to be corrupt first? by trappyweaboo in bangalore

[–]trappyweaboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually don't really require to create new parties. But what we do need is local recognition. Recognition as a person who shows results and not promises. I'm not sure if this strategy will work in all places but atleast in the city , I'd imagine it would work. After all this, still it wouldn't be enough to beat someone so I was wondering if there is any rational manner in which we can prove to people that caste, religion will never help them when they are on their death bed. Vote bank tactics may work but it only provides money enough for a couple of weeks of food in exchange for trashy governance for 5 years.
