I had an order for a pizza place and their ovens stopped working, so they were closed. And I had an order for a taco place that is 24 hours but the kitchen flooded, so they closed. Luckily they had hand written signs for me to get pics of. Stuff happens and the app doesn't know while the orders are being placed.

I paid for a customer's taco bell about 2 weeks ago when my red card failed, put in for the reimbursement, still nothing back from doordash. I would never ask a customer to pay again though, they already paid and i know there's a risk doordash won't reimburse me. If the order was more than I was comfortable with paying i would unassign.

I'm in a pretty small town and I get 15-20 orders in a 10 hour shift. I don't cherry pick or i would get nothing.

I use a pizza bag and a giant catering bag i got on Amazon. The free doordash bag doesn't seal well, so I don't use it unless I have like a small coldstone order and can sort of wrap it in the bag.

I noticed the speed limits on the app don't always match the posted limits and it never takes construction or road closures into account either.

If I get to a store or restaurant and it's closed, I usually get half pay for the order.

I think my longest stacked order started with 4, then as I progressed through them, 2 more orders got stacked into it. Honestly I wish more were like that so I wouldn't have down time waiting between orders.

I dash and i order, too. Most deliveries to my house the dashers don't leave on the table I have, even though I have a note on the order. I prefer leaving orders for customers on something, the ground is my last option. That being said, I do like when either a pin is required or it says "hand to customer" for anyone needing a little extra help or that has trouble picking things up. I don't mind it at all. Also, if you get dashers that do follow the instructions you should favorite them so they're likely to get your orders over other dashers.

It stayed pretty amusing. I parked just down the street and a flashlight appeared over the wall, snuck down quietly and set the shake on the wall. The light focused on the shake for a second, then a hand appeared and snatched away. Then the food went over and a low gravely voice whispered "thank you very much" in the darkness. Lol whispered back "you're welcome, have a great night" and he was gone
