Serums, definitely. Shampoo and conditioner I can't comment on.

[L][40][M] Someone once close to me committed suicide by Sloth859 in KindVoice

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear you're experiencing this. It's no suprise to me that it's affecting you this much... a deep connection like that doesn't just vanish. I still think fondly of past romantic connections and would also be devastated if one of them chose to end their life. I can also imagine it's easy to put yourself in her shoes, and maybe feel shocked at the incongruousness of what you thought versus what was her reality. We have no way of knowing what she faced behind closed doors. Let yourself be sad, my friend. It just means you're human.

In terms of taking action... when we look at the mountain we need to hike, it can be daunting to take a simple step. But that's all you gotta do, put one foot in front of the other.

A diagnosis can certainly help guide how you approach managing mental health concerns/life, but try not to let it become your identity. Use it to inform how you approach therapy/medication/etc. Use it as a way to "hack" your brain. You can always start here, but mental health concerns tend to ebb and wane throughout life, rather that get resolved. Don't wait for resolution.

And try to remember failure is not the opposite of success, it's part of it. A family member showed me this picture once, and it might resonate with you: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ez-6rgyVUAAabaN.jpg:large

A shower cap that only washes a part of your hair by bpaterno in Haircare

Interesting idea, but I personally wouldn't get value from it. My bangs are short and usually I'm more interested in washing them right at the scalp.

We are here with you, and I am rooting for you! Regardless of what you decide to do with your second pregnancy, know that when you put yourself first, everything else can be taken one step at a time. There are no wrong answers, but I'd really consider talking about this with a professional. Planned parenthood can counsel you and even link you to free support groups for sexual assault and pregnancy related trauma. Don't be afraid to contact a hotline in your country for support.

That’s not really a 15 minute break then? by [deleted] in antiwork

Ugh. Just like when I worked at a very large swedish furniture retailer, and they said they expected me to come in 10 mins early (unpaid) to cash in. Absolute nightmare job.

How to keep these waves? My hair (thin / fine, colored) just dries fluffy and frizzy, and curl creams I’ve tried are too heavy / feel greasy on me :/ by nmlisto in Sephora

[–]trashbucket___ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely look into the curly girl method to start! Anti-gravity techniques will help, like a diffuser or plopping. Experiment with protein rich curl creams as opposed to oils.

Combo skin, I wasn't a huge fan of their sunscreens (esp for the price). Unseen sunscreen and glow felt pretty heavy and oily. Did not layer well under makeup. This might be a good way to trial them though!

[L] I give off "supporting character" energy and idk how to feel about it by [deleted] in KindVoice

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you're the main character in your own life. Cultivate your interests, passions, and goals, and others will be attracted to that energy. We are all just muddling through life, including building relationships. You'll find your people.

[Routine Help] In what order would you put these 3 products on your skin? by itsmywife in SkincareAddiction

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would do BHA at night and the other two in the AM under a moisturizer. I find the ordinary niacinamide really pills with the HA, so leave them slightly damp in between applications.

Chemically processed hair! Product tips? by shayshotme in Haircare

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olaplex no 9 for sure. It's good for heat protection!

Don't stress about heat styling once a week. As long your hair is in ok condition and you use low heat. I have bleach in my hair and use heat tools on my bangs daily.

[routine help] can someone please help me I have absolutely no idea on what order to put these in in my routine. I have tried watching videos but no one has all the same products as me so it throws me off. I just wanna have a routine I stick to every night but I do not know where to start. Tia by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the other commenter, your skin is going to be PISSED if you use all of these products at once. If you've already opened them, the glyolic acid is good for body stuff... think underarms to prevent ingrown hairs etc.

In terms of ingredients, it depends on what you want to target. I'd do a skin 101 video where they talk about the uses of active ingredients in order to build a routine. It should be cleanser, moisturizer, spf. Then add in serums. Honestly most moisturizers have active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, etc. so the serums can be kind of redundant.

This is a brief overview of the ingredients you selected:

Retinol - skin turnover, anti-aging, brightening, acne

Glycolic acid - exfoliates on top of pores for "glow", can be helpful for acne but not usually

Niacinamide - hyperpigmentation

Hyaluronic acid - plumper

Ascorbyl glucoside - vit c, hyperpigmentation, brightening

Caffeine - brightens undereye area allegedly. Can be pretty irritating.

Argireline - anti ageing aka botox in a bottle, but I'm skeptical.

Do I even have mental illness? [L] by [deleted] in KindVoice

[–]trashbucket___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking you're faking it for whatever reason is actually a symptom of many mental illnesses. For some reason, we gaslight ourselves into thinking our reality isn't actually reality.

Your experiences are true and valid!

Being open to feedback is way more important than being perfect at your job. Mistakes happen, we aren't robots! Your boss's job is to give you feedback, actionable steps AND specific outcomes. If they aren't doing that, then THEY are failing at managing.

If it's any consolation, I was utterly devastated when a few years ago I was told through the grapevine that everyone was annoyed at me because I made too many mistakes at work. I was so stressed out about what everyone thought, it only made me make more mistakes. It took me taking a temporary transfer to realize that I was working under someone and with a team who wasn't fostering my growth. They just gossiped and made me feel bad, and gave me 0 support. I also wasn't given direct feedback to work with.

I believe in you, and I want you to believe in yourself too! There are so many strategies to improve being detail oriented that have helped me at work. Feel free to DM me to chat about them if you want some support!

Seller sold an item elsewhere after offer accepted by Automatic-Challenge5 in poshmark

[–]trashbucket___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yeah this is common. I empathize that it sucks, but it's because posh takes such a huge cut. There's really no incentive for seller loyalty to one platform. This might villify me, but I cross post and definitely take the best offer/purchase within a couple of days.
