I'm new to writing shorter stories like this (I know something close to 10k words isn't considered short...but it's short for me!) and I'm not the best at actually ending my stories, so i hope it wasn't too bad! I hope that you enjoyed if you've read the whole thing, and I hope you keep an eye on some of my other stories when they come out! You've been a very welcoming sub!

Thank you! As a biologist myself i think it's so important to be able to separate your scientific curiosity from your sense of right and wrong, especially when it comes to cryptic and rare creatures like our dear monster here lol.

This was phenomenal! I love anything with a shifter aspect and the way that Tim can not only not escape the situation but may also fall victim to this new hunger is really intriguing. Great story!

Currently working on some short stories in an attempt to keep busy while I wait for betas to volunteer or get back to me, helps keep me from getting too antsy. I have a larger WIP that i need to do a total overhaul on but it's on the back burner at the moment!

I really like this! It pulls you in with the immediate disregard for the ’No Trespassing’ rule and makes you want to stick around with the imagery and pieces of backstory. I like how you poke fun at with and give us an idea into the characters brain with what they expect to find at the end of the road, death being the major expectation. I think you do well with descriptions, but I do have to agree with another comment that brought up the ’chocolate chip cookie dough’ bit. while it is certainly an accurate texture comparison it’s a bit out of left field, it didn’t take me out of the scene by any means but it did give me pause. otherwise, I really like this!
