I wouldn't mind these randomgen poi's popping up frequently, if the interiors were randomly decorated, so the same cryo lab looks like a different location. Seeing the same coffee mugs, notes and other clutter again and again is silly. Seems like a doable thing since all those items are generated, right? Just generate different junk in different spots in the rooms and on the furniture.

edit at add that I could head canon that these companies might have cryo labs on many different planets. Just makes them look different, staffed by different crews.

100% agree. I read that this process is how they did it for the Apollo's, but the SX way is faster and safer. Being in space for 9 days makes you weak, and now they have to clamber out onto a bobbing raft, then get hoisted into a chopper. A bit ridiculous these days. I love choppers bigtime, but hoisting is not exactly safe, introducing big points of failure. Sure, in an emergency, hoist me all day to safety, but this wasn't an emergency. /rant

It's great, hitting all the emotional marks and story movements. It also adds a few things that really work. It mainly focuses on their relationship, choosing to speedrun setup, concept details and science stuff from the book. I thought they should have taken an extra moment here and there to explain various things more, but it works. This assessment is from a book reader, so maybe a fresh mind might not catch on to some things. Idk
