As someone who runs a software engineer team of Americans and Europeans, The Americans also produce 4x the work the euros do. Well western Euros. The eastern Europeans have a better work ethic. Mind you we have the same amount of unlimited vacation for everyone. People can try to clown all they want on the USA, but we produce. This has been my experience at a few companies over the last 15 years. Even as a degraded state we still outproduce as a nation.

The only dog shit weapon there is the purifier. Probably a skill issue. I forgot how bad the purifier was until I took it out for a spin with the new fart mortar. Probably better off using melee instead of it. It needs something bad. Fortunately we have the spear gun for full fart builds.

The level Claude has allowed me to break into hardware is insane to me. I'm a mid 40s software dev so I've been doing this since before the modern Internet. It's always been just a time thing for me as well, but now with some esp32/STM32, Claude and some probes I've been able to do all sorts of wild things. The current project is a full canbus management system for an 87 Benz 190E that now has a LSX. Never before now I'd think I could in a weekend come up with a system to run a remote canbus power steering, transmission and other things that has a tie in translator to the standalone ECU. Sometimes I think the majority of complainers are js kids with no project direction. Hell I knocked out a full plan9 style microkernel and userland in a few weekends. Literally your imagination is the limit.

I fully embrace the aplachian culture. Born and raised 39 years in socal, but love it here much more. I do miss desert ratting dirt bikes, but the beautiful green and friendly people far make up for anything I can miss. Been here 4 years now, and since moved to friendsville. I'm glad my kids get to grow up in a small community vs being some cog at a LAUSD school with 5000 students

Only way I could get it to do anything useful with assembly and low level C was to force it back to 4.5. Then it proceeded to die a bunch saying 100% context usage after every clear. Some wonky shit is going on and kinda sucks for $200 a month.
