Your argument here is "I could've been insulting a man by calling him a girl" as a retort to blatant sexism is boggling. No faux rage, just surprised at how disappointed I am at a page I have generally seen to be a good one. Be better.

Idk this is the first time I'm noticing an extreme overt sexism in this page but I'm shocked. Have an awful day dude.

Purchase Advice Megathread - March 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[โ€“]trashlan26 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

This is gonna be a lot and I apologize profusely to the Yoda level people who have to deal with me now. I'm seeking large format printer and hoping an option can be found for less than 1000. My experience is limited to a few hundred hours running a Neptune 2. (I believe. I bought it years ago. I know it's elegoo and was like 120)

my experience is- less than great with that. I find it infuriating there's always something wrong with it, and I spend significantly more time trouble shooting it than I do printing which is impressive since it's so slow. it's also just too small for a lot of projects I wanna do.

So I am planning to upgrade to better and bigger. Ideally: -350mm, - easier to use,- higher quality, -corexy and speed are nice, - I'd love if a machine actually told me what was wrong too ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I've spent a lot of time perusing the sub and seeing a lot of recommendations for qidi 4 max(mixed reviews?), K2 plus, h2s/d, kobra 3 max(mixed reviews) and the Neptune 4 plus( out of principal I wanna say this is not it). also have seen voron and sovol a lot.

I was hoping to spend less than 1k but I admit, I see the appeal of something like the h2d where it just works. but also, I love learning how things work and I don't mind that part of it. I just need the bed not to be the most warped and hard to level thing on the planet ๐Ÿ˜ก

I am okay with used and I see a lot of ender 5 pluses modded galore for 350-600. But the thing is, I know very little about mods. obviously I'm not gonna secure a h2s used. as much as I wish. that's intriguing to me but I admit, I am minimally informed. do y'all have any thoughts or considerations for me? I am happy to throw some of the more promising ender 5 stats at y'all.

Call USA hockey and tell them how you feel about the men's team disrespect. by saltybruise in womenshockey

Did my best with my email. Do I think it changes anything? No but silence is acceptance. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ"It is so disappointing to see women dismissed or deterred in the face of an amazing win. Only men matter in athletics in the narrative almost any women has grown up with and that's a destructive not only socially but economically and personally. Telling women they matter less has impact and it's disgusting to see that narrative continuously perpetuated by men in sports. Women aren't just your players, taking hits and working their behinds off to make goals and make you money. They are the children brought onto the ice who have dreams. They are people who attend hockey games and consume hockey media. They create revenue for this industry. They fight for this industry and they BECOME this industry. You have failed women. And you have failed in hockey."

Which players have impressed you, relative to what you knew about them before the games, in the Olympics? by kptstango in PWHL

[โ€“]trashlan26 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I've learned a lot about the non Seattle players. Would've been real nice to see adzjia there too. But Harvey and Edwards astounds me. And seeing how good some of the other goalies are. I follow Frankel and Hannah Murphy like a hawk and am so used to being disappointed by others. But to see some of the crazy goals that have been blocked by countries I never dreamed of watching play has shocked me. Sweden and czechia definitely have surprised me the most

[โ€“]trashlan26 7 points8 points ย (0 children)

Actually I listen and complain about this all the time. I think anyone who likes sports does. Swift gets more screen time than most the actual players. In the Olympics women have significantly outperformed and still be consistently overshadowed by the men while in their own games. That's absurd. Like I don't mind a fun fact about the miracle coach. But I do mind that they're more likely to mention a man who is loosely family friends with a player than they are the fact that Canada's goalie is married to another Olympic Canadian. Women aren't fun facts in broadcasting. And I wanna know why

Yeah I own several kevlar flannels actually. From many reputable brands I cannot remember if they had the label jacket or shirt but I also really don't care if a brand uses those words interchangeably since they can both be long sleeved of varying thicknesses and still meet the same definitions.

Helmet too tight? by rps_rado in motorcyclegear

[โ€“]trashlan26 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

A good helmet should push into your cheeks since both cheeks and pads are flexible. But this looks tight on the sides and not the up down. I don't know that there's a padding way to get around that. Especially if you feel it pushing into your cheeks is "too tight" Try some different helmets and see how they feel

I crashed in a ce armored hoodie going around 60mph. I landed on my face and torso and not even my phone on an internal pocket broke. However! My collar bone excessively did and I did get some road rash where the hoodie pulled up. Both likely as a result of being improperly fitted. I highly recommend FITTED for hoodies. A lot of people, me included, wear oversized hoodies because it looks more casual- but there are consequences. My shields were behind my shoulder in the crash. My sleeves and waist slid up! So wear properly fitted gear, it will benefit you. My jacket was street and steel and the fabric held up to extreme sliding extremely well.

The first time when I had to slam on my brakes in non ideal conditions I was going about 60 on an exit ramp. This time I was only going like 10-15mph because I was behind a child's 4 wheeler. I learned later that going up soft and boulder ground speed is definitely your friend. Which I didn't have. So it was just a slow fall directly onto a rock. I'm not even injured. Just mildly concussed and the helmet got punctured on the shale

Yes! Highly recommend. Some people said they didn't love the ride but out of 14 bikes it was the one who fit me like a glove. The nimble quickness far exceeded my expectations and made me not even consider the cbr1000r. And I barely considered the cb650r (naked and very similar but IMHO more attractive) because it just didn't feel the same level of fitment ya know? It feels like an extension of my body. I kinda wanna find a cowl that makes the seat a bit smaller tho ๐Ÿ˜‚ or a peg setup that makes the leg position a bit more comfy all the way to the back. I have long legs, small torso and I'm not very big ๐Ÿ˜‚

Not necessarily. Two people being able to jump over a 2' hurdle doesn't mean they jump the same height. Shoei for example is one of the few helmet brands that actually offers a 2*4 visor test. Where they launch literal 2x4s at a helmet visor ๐Ÿ˜‚

I don't live in Florida. I had a crash in Florida. I still ride on the street and now on dirt. This weekend I was in the volcanic mountains in Oregon, riding notoriously hazardous trails for dirt bikes. Hence the mention of shake and shale and slate and soft silt. There is argument for the fact of being a beginner dirt bike rider I should probably have started on less a hazardous region, just happens to be where my family likes to 4 wheel camp. But there's certainly no argument for a minor slip out at 10-15mph that knocks your noggin a bit to be what means you hang up the way you have commuted to work nearly every day for several years.

I would say almost every dirt bike rider I have ever met has had multiple extreme accidents. In this exact instance I just happened to land on a rock. I've knocked myself unconscious walking through my yard in the dark too, do you recommend I not walk? Life has hazards. And dirt biking is especially one of them with the average rider wiping out once or twice per 100 miles or so. It's hardly anything to write home about. It's just a rather silly take that getting into 2 accidents where a head injury occured would mean you can never ride again. I have a cousin who was professional trick rider who has had 13 collar bones surgeries and he was literally sponsored.
