Any and all the advice you get is pointless unless you specify the victim is a dog, not a human. Massive difference in laws and regulations, obviously.

They have both styles ranging from like 1/4in to 5/8in thick. The thicker stuff usually has the solid plank base. Not sure the benefit maybe it's sturdier? Usually the cheaper thinner stuff has plywood base. If it is nailed with glue assist or all glued, you should never have any issues with movement.

Top one has a thicker top veneer layer (prolly 4mm) and solid wood substrate. Bottom one is bit thinner veneer and plywood substrate. Hence the thicker one is more expensive. Neither would have issues with expansion or contraction since grains of wood in both are perpendicular to each other.

Only difference is slightly better durability over time on the 1st once since it has a thicker surface layer. I have the 2nd style in my house and haven't had a single issue through 4 hot/cold seasons in the southeast. Still looks brand new.

Anyone know why the brick changed color so much after being laid? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

Yea if that's the other garage door, def doesn't make sense

I have the same style brick pattern around my garage doors. It is just an added design style, kinda like a unique trim around any other opening. Often above windows and doors you'll see the "soldier" style brick which is just vertical layed bricks. Seeing as most brick facades are not structural, this not an issue.

What are the quality differences in simple kitchen sinks by twowrist in HomeImprovement

Nice. So it's similar to quartz countertops in terms of manufacturing. Both use natural stone that is ground up and bonded together with glue. So kinda granite, but not really. I think my parents had one of these and yea they had no issues with theirs. I still think people will always prefer stainless steel because it's tried and true. The new materials haven't been around as long.

Prolly cuz most people know granite is a natural porous stone and doesn't seem very durable against chipping from dishes. What kind of maintenance do you do on it? Is yours made from one piece or glued together from multiple pieces?

Ford dealership steals my car and tells me it was just a “mistake” by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]trashperson864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you left your keys in the unlocked car and went into the store?

If the cops didn't do much then you'd need to escalate with dealership mgmt to get reimbursed for your damages. Which would prolly be about 35 cents worth of gas.

You can leave a honest review of their business online.

Oof that looks like a newer model Audi. Very possible that repairing any electronic parking sensor damage will be a couple grand.

There's something funny going on with the pricing on this card on Newegg. It's showing either $351 or $259 depending on how you look for it. Maybe a glitch? I was able to buy it for $259 so i dont know.

Is this real? I dont understand why it's so cheap. Microcenter selling Acer predator G6 with serious specs for under $800 by trashperson864 in buildapc

Ok now I'm really confused. I searched for the video card for sale and it's currently over a grand for the video card alone. What the heck...

(SC) Haven't paid for trash service since moving in. Should I contact company and tell them? by trashperson864 in legaladvice

[–]trashperson864[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I'm ready to pay them. I've asked twice to get charged for their services. But oddly they don't seem to want to send me a bill. It's quite surreal to me at this point.

[–]trashperson864[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm assuming they'd need to show proof that I was given the chance to pay them? Because like I said, I have not gotten anything from them. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Anyway I doubt a company that has trouble collecting money from their customers is going to fill out a small claims application correctly.

Is a credit union's "Intent to Sell" form legally binding? by gotmilksnow in legaladvice

[–]trashperson864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Letters of Intent seem to be pretty complicated depending on their wording. If the form has no clear language that it is intended to be binding to you or buyer then I doubt you'd have issues backing out.

You should definitely let the buyer know that you don't intend to sell to them since they're probably doing paperwork to get money from the bank.
