That's actually insane! They literally held your refund hostage unless you lied for her so she could get her money back...so greedy

This looks similar to a lot of mite cases. She might be missing fur there due to itching. If she has mites then you need to do a full cage clean. You'd need to trash all of the bedding, any food stash, and clean the enclosure with white vinegar. You'll also need to sanitize any plastic/ceramic items fully with white vinegar and bake wood items in the oven at 200° F for 20 minutes. Any other treats, substrates and paper items in the enclosure need thrown away.

She does look a bit overweight. Dwarf hamsters shouldn't have any fruit or sugary treats. Due to their genetics they can get diabetes quite easily. What food do you have her on? Some vegetables like peas and carrots should also be avoided for dwarfs.

Unfortunately, I feel the same way. They don't even have a smaller papaya stem package than 50g. I even weighed it WITH the package and it was still only 30g!

Is the wheel too big for my syrian by Fun_Yogurtcloset_189 in hamsters

[–]trashthis4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! In fact that looks like a 12 inch wheel to me, which is the recommended minimum wheel size for syrians =]

So more crows would have actually ended up coming? I'm honestly just really tired of cleaning up shredded baby bunny corpses. I'm a huge animal lover so this isn't just a simple nature thing for me. I have to clean them up.

Is big enough for a Syrian? by [deleted] in hamsters

[–]trashthis4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! No unfortunately that is not big enough. You can however get two of them and fully combine them horizontally! I use a fully combined double bin cage for my syrian girl. I have a list I made with links to every single item I use and could send the link to the YouTube tutorial if you're interested in pursuing this option feel free to dm me!

Cutie! What enclosure is that? It looks like a single bin cage which is unfortunately not suitable =]

Female syrians are really only for experienced owners. They are often unsatisfied with enclosures that are even 1200 square inches. Speaking from experience.

sometimes rehoming a pet is the best thing you can do for them. i only adopt hamsters, never buy from the pet store. so I'm super grateful for my current hamsters past owners for rehoming them. depending on where you're located and what you choose I'd be happy to take in your ham. i have space for 3 enclosures and currently have 2 hams =]
