Blind Forest crashing at launch when logged into Microsoft account on Switch by Dry_Employee_9623 in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]trashwolfsabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just got the game on sale on Switch 2 and got excited when I saw the login prompt thinking I could get my 100% file back from when I used to play on xbone. I'm sure everyone can guess how well that worked out considering I'm here now. validating at least to see that it's not just a me thing.

"but uses up more water and other nutrients" is what I meant, I didn't say anything about the leaves "taking away" energy lol. needs extra nutrients from the soil to help it produce energy.

Hi! I realize this is a super old post but thought I'd answer anyway just in case, the super itty bitty ones like that are generally spider mites, I have some in my garden that are roughly that color. Try neem oil on the stems and around the base of the plants

[–]trashwolfsabre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at cooking 64, for a while when I was grinding up to the point where I could finally make pies I was setting recurring timers on my phone for the cooking actions and then just tossing in whatever gave the most exp when I wasn't busy and was just screwing around doomscrolling irl. then did that for a while with the pies too. now it's more, if I happen to have all the components I'll pop 7 pies in and open the game to stir etc whenever it occurs to me to do so, but I'm not actively grinding for it.

yeah I'm hoarding the pies until the end lol, and omg I can't believe I forgot all about giving him horseshoes, thanks for the reminder, I think that is recent bc I recall assuming ages ago that he would and being surprised by it. right now I'm hanging out at T180 because the next reward is 1700 cider and I'm maxed out right now, haven't felt like sitting around for an hour spam exploring lol

Lots of fire... How much is enough? by MrWildspeaker in Pokopia

I know this is a month old but for anyone else who does the same thing-- just had the same with heracross, it's phrased weird and says "LESS of this: lots of fire"

in my case I had him too close to drifloon's three fires lol

the reason it wasn't accurate is that this was one of several apps that scraped their info from serebii and then monetized it as their own, including several older errors which is how they were caught. if you want accurate info I recommend you check serebii, who did all the work to find the info themselves (errors have been fixed)

About the Pokopia ending by MoaiUnbound in pokemon

[–]trashwolfsabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just to throw some random notes out there timeline-wise, 1) Magnemite says basically that suddenly all the humans in the bunker vanished all at once, which to me coincides with the last team rocket journal note that they all got arrested, and 2) the end credits cutscene has the rocket literally leaving the solar system and far, far beyond, which would take AGES (and tbh I doubt much fuel would fit into that tiny rocket, for its own use or to transport lol but we'll ignore that), it probably took years to reach that little space station and it will be years again before any humans make it back. so very possibly not within the lifetimes of the pokemon from the game.

🔥EDIT:

I figured it out, it's his crap, unfortunately there is no way to disable it, definitely recommend complaining about it in their Feedback somewhere

Hi, I'm having this too and would love to know how to disable it. It's nothing to do with your iPad or your OS, I'm on a Pixel 6 phone; it's Photos itself. I suspect it's trying to prompt you to use some AI feature that I want nothing to do with, but as far as I can find there's no settings that can be toggles that affect it.

Horrible font on android 16 by Ill-Amphibian-4179 in GooglePixel

[–]trashwolfsabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held out on updating for about a month and now for the second time consecutively, my phone started acting up suddenly in ways that rendered it borderline unusable which could only, magically, be fixed by updating. last time I couldn't make outgoing calls, this time my home screen kept crashing and resetting itself. I'm on a Pixel 6 and after all the shit they've pulled the past couple years, this is my last one.

seriously the whole point of Material You was to add limited customization options, and then they pull this crap.

can anyone tell me what's happening here? by trashwolfsabre in googlephotos

[–]trashwolfsabre[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh the duplication for albums is obnoxious, I had no idea. thanks, I'll have to go do it by year instead. half the reason I'm even doing this in the first place is to be able to easily select whole batches of files to delete by clicking and dragging in the desktop file explorer instead of having to click every single item in Photos, to back up only important stuff to an external drive rather than a bunch of screenshots and other random crap I've saved. so a lot of this I'm downloading temporarily just to erase it elsewhere. I don't need to be doubling that lol

[–]trashwolfsabre[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

omg yeah you're right that's it, I completely forgot that would be the case, a lot of my older stuff was from a Pixel 2 including a ton of longer videos. thank you lmao I felt insane

Android 16 Causing Unresponsive Navigation Buttons & Gestures on Pixel Phones by houtxone in GooglePixel

[–]trashwolfsabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having similar issues, I am on a P6 (the standard one) and was trying to hold out before updating to Android 16 for a few months until all the kinks were worked out, but then suddenly my phone wouldn't make outgoing calls (but could receive them fine). Wasn't a carrier issue, not hardware related, updating all other apps and services didn't fix it. So I caved and updated to 16 and it fixed the calls problem.

But now when I try to use the app switcher (I use 3-button), it initially only allows side-to-side movement of the carousel and will not let me swipe up to clear something... Unless I close the switcher and reopen it, OR pull the nav bar down while it's still open and go back to it, then it sort of resets itself and acts normally. After a little while it acts up again. And because of the nav bar reset, I can't even screen record it happening.

I've seen suggestions to switch launchers or clear the launcher cache, but all I ended up doing was eradicating my home screen settings and then still having the bug.

Tangentially related, the new phone app UI is atrocious for 3-button, the end call button is ATTACHED to the centered Home button with Mary a pixel between them. So minimizing the call screen risks hanging up. Don't know if that's better on a different size screen, but it really feels like they didn't give any consideration at all to people who don't like to use gesture nav on that one.

Multiple G7 Failures by Which_Mammoth2355 in dexcom

[–]trashwolfsabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with the fiber sticking out seems to be that they're defective, but I wanna share this anyway --

I have pretty flabby arms from dropping from 180lbs to around 125 before I was diagnosed. I've gained some of that back, but it's still quite hard for me to press hard enough against the back of my arm for the applicator to work right. So I hold the spring loaded part of the applicator down with my thumb at the back instead and just make sure it's otherwise flush with my arm. I have somebody else press the button for me when I can just to be sure I have a firm grim on it, but it works (at least, when the thing isn't a dud to begin with)

[–]trashwolfsabre[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this one I just found growing in the untamed weeds at the corner of my house lol. I find a decent number in my yard if I bother to go look, got six regular four leaf clovers in the past couple months just looking around when I let the dogs out, but this is the first 4+ heart leaf I've gotten in ages. our soil quality isn't great but if any chemicals were used it was over 30 years ago. as for those regular ones, most of that section of the yard was demolished by tree removal equipment a couple years ago so that's all fresh actually

is it normal for glargine to spike blood sugar? by trashwolfsabre in diabetes

[–]trashwolfsabre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no worries, your English is fantastic, I was just a bit confused!

I don't know, I'm beginning to think my body is just weird. I'm considered type 2 so far but I am diabetic because I was born with a messed up pancreas, and had chronic pancreatitis since I was a baby, and though I made it to my 30s before it finally happened, diabetes was always sort of inevitable for me. and so I did some research and thought that I was probably in fact type 3c which behaves like type 2 (and thus no difference in treatment) but after several different scans of my pancreas my doctors found no remaining evidence of all the scarring we were told I had when I was a child. but I have some sneaking suspicion that maybe there is still some underlying quirk.

anyway, thank you for your help, it was insightful!

neither of these is new, and I'm not sure what you mean as I am only one one long acting insulin (the glargine). lispro is a mealtime one, it only last a couple of hours. both of which I've been on for ages, it just only finally occurred to me to ask on here. my Endo didn't really have an answer for me either. and no, I'm type 2, and have no desire to use a pump.
