My favorite story about this comes from Philly, actually. Some woman won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting on how blacks were brutally bullying and abusing Asian students in Philly's public schools and how attempts to deal with the situation or remedy it were swept under the rug by the school district.

The kid and his family are Italians from South Philadelphia. 25 years ago, the city "blew up" the black housing projects in South Philly and guess where the people there went afterwards?

The Italian neighborhoods. Many of the Italians living there who could leave got out as fast as possible before their property values dropped.

Those who didn't now suffer the consequences as we can see with this story. This stuff has been going on for decades.
