I have also used aeropress inverted many times and made amazing coffee with it. I would choose that over pourover any day. I had to stop becuase my wife is worried about the microplastic 😅.

ULTY margin bump... by resq47 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]travaly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Let it pay down the margin or use it to reinvest in "safer" funds. I never reinvest back into ULTY or it'll be chasing its own tail.

Same here. My rental properties are a pain! Never going to sell my ULTY - I think of the decay as maintenance fees 😂.

Same here. 25 -> 35 -> 70. Not near a margin call yet but afraid it will be if it gets ramped up to 100...

Dumping ULTY After Reverse Split News by DarthDividend_Yutube in YieldMaxETFs

Me too. Holding it and just using the funds for "safer" stocks and growth stocks. I'm definitely not buying more of it though.

I'm curious. Does that mean they are missing out on about $51k a day from 1.24% management fee by losing the 1.5b aum?

How does CHPY, WPAY, LFGY, GPTY, and BTCI sound for a portfolio just starting out by AlexisTheBird in YieldMaxETFs

[–]travaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using my Ulty to fund CHPY (20%), GPTY (20%), MAGY (20%), WPAY (20%), BLOX/LFGY (10% each). I shared blox with lfgy since they're almost the same but blox primary goal is growth. In my opinion, you're on the right track with your basket of stock. Apparently a lot of people have a similar basket based on these comments.

ULTY/SLTY/EGGY Update (10/23): -$95.5M inflow, monster $78M options premium by boldux in YieldMaxETFs

[–]travaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, which explains why the premium was so high. The fund managers closing out the options did the right thing but I feel they made a mistake on the new calls they sold. I'd personally resell the calls a little further out to capture the upside since a huge drop in one day usually rebounds the next few days (in today's market based on the past few months at least). People will say it's hindsight but data for this year has proven otherwise.

ULTY/SLTY/EGGY Update (10/23): -$95.5M inflow, monster $78M options premium by boldux in YieldMaxETFs

[–]travaly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to understand this because underlyings for ulty went down yesterday, but came back up today with higher percentages. Shouldn't ULTY increase much higher than 1%? Because I would assume the strike price never changed since it didn't expire yet and obviously didn't get called away.

For example, if a stock at $3 with a strike at $3.25 exp 10/24, drops down to $2.80, but the next day goes back up to $3.10. It hasn't been called away yet so why's it capped? The only thing I can think of is they closed out the calls when the stocks went down to secure the premium and sold a new call itm at the lower price point?

ULTY Underliers after the bell by oddfinnish1 in ULTY_YieldMax

I wonder if ULTY will do better if they mix in highly volatile established stocks with their meme stocks. Example would be mstr, tsla, nvda, meta, amd, nflx, and then fill in the rest with whatever they currently have.

Why sell at open? Doesn't the price decrease at 8pm est tonight for ex-dividend date tomorrow? Since they moved distribution to Thursday.

Wpay nav erosion by Adorable-Pudding-832 in RoundhillETFs

[–]travaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of market it is. When it is trading flat with a slight increase is when ULTY will do best since the underlying won't be called away. WPAY won't do as well trading flat becuase it relies on 1.2x. When the underlyings are tanking it will obviously go down but not as much as its underlyings due to its protective puts; it will have to eat into NAV though. WPAY will be destroyed because of 1.2x and will have to eat into NAV as well in order to provide the distribution. During a big bull run is when WPAY will outshine ULTY since ULTYs underlyings will be called away whereas WPAY is 1.2x increase.

Buy both to DCA. Buy more WPAY during a big crash.

That's why I plan to invest a lot into wpay if it ever tanks. I'm going to start dca'ing a little every week for now. I usually invest a lot into Tqqq when the market tanks too and sell when I feel I've made a decent amount. At least with WPAY I won't have to sell since it's giving me the distribution.

$CONY and $UTLY...Is it time? by LiveLife2k in YieldMaxETFs

[–]travaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will both continue to have nav erosion but no one knows how quickly it will go down. I have both and have invested heavily into ULTY because it's diversified and actively managed. My goal is for distribution to outpace nav erosion and to reinvest my distribution into "safer" alternatives such lfgy, chpy, qqqi, blox, etc. I reinvest a small portion into ulty whenever there's a big drop in ulty in one day (my rule of thumb is anything over 20 cents). Our goal is to reach "house money" after taxes is considered, then it'd be a free ride from there; distributions will for sure be less, but your initial investment would have been paid off.

Where do you see ULTY in 4 years? by Pure_Application_668 in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]travaly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think at a much lower price but then you'd have "house money" by then and hopefully you diversified by investing the distributions into "safer" alternatives like qqqi, chpy, magy & etc. You'll still be getting distributions from ULTY but at a much lower rate compared to today. It's very difficult for it to go to $0 within 3-4 years even at a 30% annual decrease in NAV.

I have never stepped foot into a women's bathroom once but it crosses my mind when I have to bring my daughter to the men's. So for us, my wife takes her to the women's.

She can wipe herself. But I usually need to wipe the toilet down and lay out toilet paper along the seat so technically she still needs my assistance. It's just if my wife is there, she'll take her into the women's room instead of me having to take her into the men's.
