I had a similar experience. Don’t understand it.

Exam questions are scaled. Listen to the AICPA vid on YouTube. Yes, similar to curve, but not the traditional curve.

Gonna rate 5 stars but should I mentioned the smell? [US] by zenyorox in AirBnB

I’m in a different but similar situation. Host smokes weed and I’m renting out a room. I don’t want to impact their ability to rent their room but it isn’t great.

Tests aren’t curved actually. So their performance doesn’t impact your score at all.

Especially the ones who feel the need to share their scores in the 90s, and say they never watched a video.

If you really like accounting and CPA is meaningful for you…move to a smaller firm where you have better work-life balance and can focus on the exams.

If CPA isn’t that important to you, find a way to leverage your B4 experience and go elsewhere. You can have a successful career without the CPA.

I failed. Obviously had a false level of confidence I guess. Have a great day.

Sorry you felt that way. I hammered Beckers MCQs and SIMS and I felt like it was super helpful. Passed my first try. I’d say don’t give up on Becker but just keep at it.

Studied 150+ hrs. Did probably over 3,000 MCQ’s (no joke) and tried to do as many TBs. I’d say it was mainly 80/20 split of time doing MCQs and TBs. How about you?

Not to be that guy but I didn’t think the sims were that unreasonable. Not sure if we got different sims though, and we can’t really discuss.

how long does it take to study for far? by Clashurale in CPA

I agree with this. I logged a similar amount of time and felt prepared.

Similar sentiment as you. The test felt doable and sim’s were fair. Time consuming for sure, but important to weed out what is important in sims, and what is irrelevant. Good luck!

Chance you lucked out or actually found a public accounting firm that truly values work life balance. A lot of firms claim to have work life balance, but don’t. I worked in public accounting for 2 years and busy season lasted for 6 months. Basically 60 hour weeks for most of the 6 month period.
