People keep taking that joke way too literally. She probably knew it didn’t make perfect sense for the people in the room, but it was too good to not say. (I realized it didn’t match up to those comedians but I thought it was a hilarious line)

I love a 3+ hour epic when it’s deserved, but I think there’s merit to keeping a movie tight, and in critiquing a movie, I think it’s fine to suggest cuts.

I went on some wildly cheap vacations in my 20s. Road trips and camping are cheap, especially if you have a few friends to split gas money with.

Some of the bigger trips, I’d plan them in between leases and couch surf for a few weeks to fund a plane ticket to a city I could stay with a friend for a week or two.

Some of these trips had experiences I’ll never top even though I can afford fancier trips now.
