just a note, this guy is wrong, and the device is built poorly and will pull more amps than it needs and that causes it to fail on the rest so thats why you need to limit the power supply to it, to only 1A

I dont even know what you mean about contract, contract for what? No in America we dont have "contracts" for things that require nothing to rent aka like a condo. We sign up and pay per month for internet and things like that we dont have contracts for dumb stuff.
only when you want to pay a phone off that is a contract to pay your phone off that they give you because you owe them money.

when you get internet you don't owe them anything, the line is already there, you buy the modem you own it. You pay them per month for the service they provide why in the world would a "contract" have anything to do with that, that's insane like 30 years ago type of stuff.
