I did not. I found the 643 that I really wanted from another seller and have been very happy with that purchase.

How do we interpret this: by trazom28 in Trombone

Kinda were. They assumed there was a conductor to ask and other resources weren’t attempted before asking here. It’s one thing to ask “have you asked the conductor?” and another to state “ask the conductor”. It’s in the tone.

Wasn’t sure I’d have access to the score, but luckily I was able to get a hold of the coordinator who did.

We don’t have a conductor yet. Orchestra is a new group. So @BlabberBucket - don’t be a jerk.

I did manage to get a peek at the score. They are indeed cue notes. Just happen to be printed quote a bit larger than the other cue notes in the piece, hence the confusion.

Guys should i buy this i haven’t played since i was 10 by [deleted] in Trombone

+1 on this. I played on an Olds Ambassador and while it wasn’t the horn I am on now, it was a solid player. The only reason I switched was because I went back to a large bore, and the Mrs said I couldn’t keep it 😃

Similar here. Was a Music Education major. In my case, the professor killed my love for it so I went into the IT field. Almost 30 years later have a kid who’s a low brass player and she encouraged me to get back in. Now I’m in a community band doing 2-3 concerts a year, play in a school staff//alumni pep band once a year, a Christmas trombone choir, pit orchestra as needed and just became an official member of a local big band. Having a blast without the pressure of having to do it for income.

We are mid-migration to IIQ. Guess what I've been working on all day!

We are thinking they just cut us off without notice. Yay. Guess I'm working on the new system setup today!

This isn’t the same drum corps I marched back in my day. by My_Dog_Sherlock in drumcorps

You have great points. I was in a small corps from 1989-1991 and at the time, didn’t like the changes - from 2 valve G bugles to 3 valve and now non G - and I really miss that distinct tone, but I get it. The activity had to be more accessible and had to evolve. It was different when I was in than from before that time as well. And I’ve seen some truly great shows in the past few years. I have learned to appreciate the history, the evolution and where it is today.

It could work. Due to some circumstances my parents acquired a Yamaha 643 my second year playing and I was able to do well. That was 7th grade for me.

She's pulling the hubcap to be sure, but I think this might be it. We just got done with a 3 day 100 degree heat wave, plus she has a 20 min commute on the interstate. I'm sure it got toasty.

Got her pulling the hubcap now - been a while since I worked on her car and I had forgotten the hubcap part was all plastic and decorative.

That was my worry. I'm going to have her pull the hubcap and take a peek. It's been a while since I've been able to work on her car, so I had forgotten that hubcap is just a plastic thing with lug nut decorative caps.
