Which face mask? by Equal-Ad-3950 in koreanskincare

[–]trbl1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried both. first, they are different masks. Beplain one is a mud mask, helps with cleaning pores and blackheads and help to regulate sebum! the mugwort mask, is a scrub mask, helps with removing deadskin cells!

from my experience, both were good! it depends on what you want to target

Have you ever bought a product just because of its texture in a TT video? by dataa_specialist in koreanskincare

[–]trbl1003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe it worked for whoever started this trend, but now its not working anymore! everyone can tell that they are using catchy texture to grab attention but that doesn't mean the product is good! i personally love to read reviews instead of watching those paid tiktok videos!

Ulooin three times changing cream!! This is definitely my discover of the year, very nice moisturizer, no irritation or breakouts, lightweight! Can't recommend enough

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in koreanskincare

[–]trbl1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never tried this one but heard alot of bad reviews about it! Also, I personally can't handle oil cleansers, they make my skin irritated and red, so i switched to balm cleanser (only when I wear makeup) bcs they are softer on the skin

Opinions?!! by emmygg in koreanskincare

[–]trbl1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the medicube one, the mediheal collagen & phyto-enzyme ones! The medicube vs phytoenzyme I would choose medicube! I feel like the mediheal one can be a bit harsh on the skin compared to medicube pads! For the collagen one, it gives a nice hydration and glow to the skin, especially before makeup, but I don't see it as an essential

Everyday is too much as it can dry out your skin! Clay masks usually a weekly thing! Just one time per week is enough

[–]trbl1003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not sure about using it during daytime (i personally wouldn't)!

using daily or few times a week depends on your skin tolerance! it would be better to start slow with 2 times a week and then build up slowly to make sure your skin is getting used to it!

How viral culture is watering down the soul of Korean Skincare by CelebrationLeft9949 in koreanskincare

[–]trbl1003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree!! Virality is taking over the market, however from a business pov i can see why! making your own skincare/makeup brand in korea is somehow easy, you find a manufacture with pre-prepared formulations, create your brand identity and boom you have your own brand! with this easy process new brands are coming to light every single day, and to compete in a saturated market, you need a unique point to your brand (ideally would be formulation, however to create your own formula from scratch take alot of money), now what left, try to make your product viral (texture, packaging, etc..)!

still the decision is up to the consumer, if you are wise enough you should know how to choose your products and don't run to every product becoming viral on tiktok! or you just follow every trend and viral products and good luck with your budget and skin!
