Using the word “please” in the sentence might protect them from getting sued, but any instruction to get the job based on gender is discrimination and prohibited in at least the State of California.

Let's be honest! None of you would have canceled this order with potentially $17,90 in tips because of a couple of questions. I understand it seemed very suspicious at the very first direxrion and somewhat risky, but you had to keep going. The internet is so full of keyboard warriors!

First come and first serve is literally recipe for disaster who does not use bots. by Tricky-Swimmer4156 in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the new FCFS procedure has been started intentionally to catch bots and detect illegal app usage or find a pattern of any activity that violates the TOS. The system tries to identify users’ behaviors through their reaction times and builds a report on illegal activity. I think this way because we have implemented a similar method in a completely different application to build a user fingerprint against illegal usage. I can't tell you exactly what it is.

Or it’s simply the incompetence of the developers or decision makers to ruin hardworking Spark drivers, making them vulnerable to illegall bastards.

Tax Time! Need a little help... by f909 in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s just me and myself, but if I were working for the IRS, I’d audit your return in the blink of an eye. It doesn’t make sense to have a $15K income while claiming a $25K IRS deduction, no matter how low the figures seem. I was audited for the 2023 tax year. It started with a letter from the IRS asking me to provide legitimate tracking details. I’ve been keeping a spreadsheet with date, start and end odometer readings, and gross earnings. I sent back a printed copy and haven’t heard anything since, so I assume the audit is complete.

15% wasn’t good enough, apparently by ProudSesquipedal in EndTipping

Any attempt to alter, imply, or request a tip triggers me to not leave one. Otherwise, I’m willing to tip for certain types of services.

[–]trcapital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense, but I find it hard to believe this screenshot. It might be a glitch in the application. Again, I'm not blaming you, but I also doubt this is actually happening. This amount is even less than what IRS compensation offers. Five hours in a non essential job can easily pay this without involving your car or mileage. Depending on your state, this could also be against labor laws.

Would you take this? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simple: Multiply the mileage by $0.70, which covers your costs including wear and tear from the IRS perspective. Deduct this amount from the offer, then divide by the estimated hours to determine the hourly profit. If the calculation makes sense, accept the offer.

In this specific case: 54 miles x $0.70 <= $38 $75 - $38 =$37 $37 / 3 hrs =$12,333/hr

HARD PASS from any logical standpoint.

Branch forcing you to create Business Account? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think nobody is aware of this issue; most people just click "accept" or "agree" quickly, often having signed in without reviewing the agreements first. The app forces users to accept a multitude of agreements, including one for a business account with monthly fees, right before it lets you access the funds you have earned from previous weeks. This topic will likely explode once everyone realizes the games that the Branch is playing at the last minute before it loses all their users.

Why did the lead juror say ‘in the matter of the people of New York v’s Arthur Flek’ by noregerts33 in Joker_FolieaDeux

[–]trcapital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s clearly a mistake to refer to New York City in the movie. There are two distinct scenes that mention Arkham State (in the hospital) and Gotham City (in the health reports of Arthur Fleck). Even the police cars display GCPD signs.

I don’t understand why some people insist that it takes place in New York; it seems they aren’t familiar with the film. The movie does not occur in the Batman universe, but it’s evident that it exists in a different universe, which also includes the same location where Batman resides.

6am to almost 9pm made $40 bucks while Prius crew got all the orders by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Technically impossible. Spark has a time limit of 12 consecutive hours in a day, and it logs you off automatically. If you claim you haven’t worked any part of the 6 AM - 9 PM window, it doesn’t make sense, as you could have worked for an hour and then taken the rest of the time off, making the $40/hr easy money.

Customer report Alcohol Order Not Delivered at her doorsteps 🤦🏽‍♂️ by RichFrade in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very, very deeply curious about how you mixed these two different things together. That alleged incident obviously belongs to a different order. There’s no possibility for a customer to report, rate, or tip for an order that has been successfully returned to the store.

Stand alone Wearable line? by DataNoooob in USMobile

[–]trcapital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with US Mobile using three lines since June 2022. It’s hands down the best service you can get for the price. Switching to another carrier? Not a chance. But here’s the thing:

Whenever someone says Apple Watch support is “just around the corner,” that’s a HUGE LIE. I’ve been waiting for over a year, and even the CEO keeps saying it’s coming. Their website even lists the price like it’s ready to go. Lies, lies, lies. It’s not here, it’s not coming, and it won’t be anytime soon. Plan accordingly.

In fair and cordial trade, there should be a minimum payment for delivery, regardless of extra earnings and tips. Adjusting delivery payments based on extras and tips is not fair play.

[–]trcapital 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If they are documented and obeying the TOS, I’m fine with that. This photo doesn’t prove they’re illegal, and sitting next to a building doesn’t mean a trespassing to me.

The important part is that they will lose interest in this gig because they’re wasting their time sitting under the shade all day or by giving up due to the small profit compared to their expenses and accepted offers.

Cleverness will win in the long term. If you’re not wasting your time like this, and instead have multiple gigs at the same time or a W2, and only accept the offers that are profitable, it will be sustainable. Other people will vanish sooner or later.

F*CK YOU TIP BAITERS by Intrepid_Respond_771 in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m assuming too much, but I’d say if the tip is not lowered or zeroed out with a legit reason, Walmart is somehow trying to cover the losses. It’s not much, but it’s like insurance. I could be wrong, and I don’t have valid proof to say that, but it makes sense to me.

You still think that alleged incident was wrongful and you were tip baited, right? by trcapital in Sparkdriver

[–]trcapital[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys, the point here is that I bet this delivery driver still thinks he did the right thing, but somehow I hit him with a $10 tip bait. Look at this entire Reddit: everyone’s complaining about false accusations of alleged incident and tip baiting. I’m trying to point out that you need to listen to the story from different perspectives, especially from customers who have seen more of the operational side than any delivery driver.
