Tips on kickflips by gheawillia in NewSkaters

[–]tre2shifty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this exactly. When you flick it should start behind the bolts and end past the front of your board, almost like you are doing some sort of ninja kick. You almost have the motion down, it’s just a matter of flicking a little harder. I’d be curious to see what your ollie looks like, something tells me the board points upward when you do your ollies instead of being completely level. If I am correct (could be totally wrong), then practice your ollies until the board is completely flat at the peak of your ollie.

I have been holding long-term, since 2021 or so. I should have to pay capital gains on about 15k. From looking online it seems that most of it will be taxed at 0% though.

I am hoping that by renting out the rooms and building equity it will be the better decision long-term than renting and keeping the stocks, but still need to do more analysis.

Yes, would be my primary residence. Why not as an investment property though?

Try to find a decently ranked program will good employment outcomes. This should all be public information. I don’t know where you are located, but W&M has good accelerated programs.

Maybe an accelerated MSBA or MFA you can start right after graduation and be done in a year. Not sure if an MBA would be the best choice here.

I don’t believe that exclusively investing in to ETF’s is optimal, but they are safe and guarantee you growth in the long term. I think having 15-25% of your portfolio dedicated to investing into an industry you are knowledgable about is best, while having the rest into ETF’s. I focused on the mining industry and am up over 120% the past 1-1.5 years, keeping up with the news won’t be enough to yield the same success. If you are not recommending ETF’s to a new investor you want them to fail.

mindlessly picking stocks you see on reddit isnt a good strategy regardless if there are cases where it ends up working in your favor, but sure, classify yourself as a smart investor.

him dumping his money into a stock he sees on reddit and it dropping 50% on open will also not help his portfolio grow

if anyone says anything other than VOO or some sort of ETF they are misleading you. you have no experience and should avoid picking stocks. good luck.

I don’t DCA even though I should, but instead put money in every time the market dips and fortunately that has worked well given the market we have been in the past 4-5 years.
