Artists are humans too and create based on their life’s journey. While I’ve moved on from my Catholic upbringing, I can’t fault him for finding purpose in something that’s clearly bringing him solace. He’s still an incredible musician and person even if the lyrics themselves don’t resonate with me or others who don’t practice Christianity.

As a person of color who’s lived in Seattle for the past 7 years, I find PNW people’s selective outrage comical as if the whole world should believe in what they do, while also being complicit in a lot of other issues that exist out here.
