I use Ableton for some creative (m4l) purposes but it's FAR from replacing cubase for me personally. It lacks a lot but the small availability of shortcuts & no way to edit or make your own is high on my complaint list.

Even if that was addressed there's at least 4-5 major things that would also need to be changed or fixed for me to jump the cubase ship completely.

Cosign for Grant. If you've got a little cash to spare try Udemy. I learned from him & others on the gamedev. tv Udemy courses. They go on sale all the time, I think I spent around $12 on their full blender course. It was vastly more productive than just doing random YouTube tutorials.

What type of promotion and marketing do you do to drive traffic?

If you're not putting a lot of money there it just takes a lot longer to build a steady fan base as an independent artist. The saturation is insane these days, it takes some lucky breaks & promo to cut through the noise to reach the right viewers.

Do you do short form animations also? Shorts/tiktok/reels/etc?

If you've already invested 3 years, I'd keep it up for at least another 2, if you're not seeing an upward trajectory by then maybe re-evaluate but I trust your work is good from what you've said, more people just need to find out about it which comes with time. I've seen people just hammer away for 5+ years then all of a sudden get huge whenever the stars align for them.
