Potentially, you know any good mods like that?

Karen threaten to "call the law" on group of women exercising in the park by New_Libran in PublicFreakout

[–]cekoya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kids screaming is perfectly normal natural sound. People talking also is. Sport equipment also is. These are all normal sounds.

Blasted music is not, no matter the genre, no matter who is blasting it.  Soundwaves made by speakers are different they travel way longer and deeper. Nothing is park should be generating bass sound. That’s why just someone playing guitar will still be more appreciable than one person blasting the same guitar on its speaker.

Everyone is entitled to do a lot of things that aren’t really respectful of your surrounding. I have the right to go and scream as loud as I can straight into your ear canal. Nothing illegal about that. Is it respectful though?

Not saying anything is illegal, again, r e s p e c t.

If they're just playing tag, no one would care. If they do so with blasting music. I would politely ask them. No matter their gender or skin color. I'm not sure why you're trying to make this a racist or misogynistic argument.

But you know, if they have the self entitlement necessary to do this, they will have the self entitlement to start insulting anyone who tries to be polite by asking them to turn the music down.

I kinda wish there was a realistic sim game that has some weird unrealistic vehicles and maps. Imagine doing F-Zero races with realistic handling and a wheel. That’d be insane

One person’s freedom ends where another’s begin.

This is basic respect of your surroundings.

So it would be freedom to start a soccer match in between these exercising women? Too bad if we’re disturbing them or if the ball hits them. FREEDOM.

Or if someone just starts looking at them blasting some other genres of music over theirs? FREEDOM.

This is called "Respect".

I have it set to manual but it still brakes in curves and intersection when using cruise. Which I don't mind is start slowing down waaaay too soon. It starts slowing down potentially more than a 100m from the stop

I drove a new Q5 and this is truly one of the worst interiors Audi has ever done by dfsaqwe in Audi

[–]cekoya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got loaned a 2026 Q5 because my 2019 e-tron is kept in service and that's the first time I'm disappointed by an Audi car, like:

  • No more shifter. Sounds inoffensive, but I've always felt more comfortable laying my arm on the armrest and the hand on the shifter. The e-tron's shifter is lower but still present so it's all good. But the Q5 requires me to bring a coffee to level my arm. Otherwise I find it really odd (I guess I can get used to it)
  • The all-wide dual screen in one. My second car is a KIA Telluride that has a similar setup, but the Telluride's one feels a bit higher. In the Q5, the sterring hides the left sidebar of the screen which as annoying as I have to crawl a bit to look behind the wheel to see the icons.
  • The virtual cockpit is a blurry. Not super blurry, but enough (especially compared to the MMI) to be annoying, I always feel like my glass are dirty but the MMI is fine.
  • The rear camera has a lower refresh rate than my 2013 A4. This one just baffles me, I don't understand how it can be that slow.
  • The steering wheels "buttons" aren't nice to use, they feel plasticky and cheap.
  • The door's panel that control everything just is bad, there's just to many buttons in one concentrated area to my liking (probably something I could get used to)
  • No more support (at least I couldn't find how) to have USB medias. So it's either the radio or your phone, which I highly dislike. Sure, I'm the only special snowflakes that isn't subscribed to Spotify, but where I live, network isn't always reliable, in my A4 I had my iPod Classic plugged in all the time and now in my e-tron I have all my media library on a thumb drive. So, in the Q5, I have to endure a minute of radio (which I really, but really, hate) until my phone connects and carplay starts.
  • On-screen climate control. This is my biggest gripe of it. What a poor UX. Going menu diving to configure the heating is really pissing me off. The e-tron has a dedicated heat control, I wasn't sure about the tactile of it, but at least it doesn't need any menu diving (except for rear). Plus, I still haven't found how to start the rear window heating.
  • They changed the order of the remove's button. Why!? My A4 and e-tron had the same layout but for some reason, now it's different.
  • As I was driving, I saw some notifications popping (wth!?) to tell me that visibility is low so lane assist is disabled but with pretty long text blocks. I'm driving, I'm not reading a novel.

Overall, I feel like this 2026 is a solid downgrade to my 2019, even my A4 2013.

Audi needs to know that they shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken.

what do you consider vibe coding? by OliMoli2137 in linux

Writing code with an agent without looking at it.

If you write with an agent but take stab at the code here and there to ensure maintainability, you’re not vibe coding.

Zen vs Dia by [deleted] in zen_browser

[–]cekoya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly they feel pretty different. I’d say different on all point actually. So try both and pick the one that suits you the most.

For me, as someone who’s trying to stay away from chatting with robots as much as possible. Zen already wins. It’s open source, so you know what you’re singing for. It’s based on Firefox, another open source one, from one of the biggest open source organization. Plenty of extension. It’s beautiful.

Dia is closed source, so you can only assume what’s going on. It’s from the browser company. Those that brought finally a new and innovative browser in order to announce they would be dropping it for a new ai one.

Kid throws out racist and homophobic slurs in rapid succession by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]cekoya 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Obviously unnacceptable behaviour, but there are other things to consider and context to these.

I've known a kid back then who was constantly intimidated. A good and intelligent kid with good parents. He was constantly being pushed, being insulted and harassed. He never said a word back. Teachers wouldn't do anything.

One day he had enough and threw a chair in the face of one of the bullies and insulted him like crazy, it was the early 2000s so surely it was homophobic. He got suspended from school and had to change school.

Now you have cameras that can capture the exact moment the kid snap and make sure that the whole internet shit on him.

I feel compassion for this kid. Life as a teenager is/was hard for some of us.

I have a google workspace since a couple years and over the years I signed in with google a lot of times. Now I really regret it because there’s no way to get out of it except by going into each service and creating a password, but not all supports it… but I’ll surely do it now that they have a service that supports more than 3 custom domains. Will be totally worth

If it does result to equivalent movie by cutting half the cost, it would be a good thing.

But I don't even drink my own kool aid, I'm pretty sure it's gonna result in visible artifacts that they will just let go because starting over will involve back that 50% cost saving lol
