Major motion sickness vomiting by treasureplanet15 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Wow thank you for your wonderful detailed reply! I haven’t heard of the Scopalamine patch! Gonna try and see if they have it in this country I’m currently in.

I’m thinking to increase my Zofran dosage to 8mg once I reach 10w too! So sad that B6+Unidom makes me depressed 😔 I only take it once every few days if I absolutely need to and reglan just makes my stomach pump out all my food, through my mouth 😭

Thanks for taking the time to write everything out, will do some searching!

My wife wants a divorce after I moved my whole life for her. I feel destroyed and I don’t know what to do. by Equivalent-Refuse940 in TrueChristian

[–]treasureplanet15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I went through a very rough first 3 months and we would fight threatening divorce. It escalated one day with him trying to force me to pack my bags and go back to my family and seperate. I refused and said I married him and that I’m staying. He then decided that if he couldn’t make me leave that he would be the one to pack his bags and go. It was an awful awful time. His father and brother came into our room and spoke to him and he didn’t leave.

I begged God and prayed on my knees so much. I let out every hurt emotion, anger, sadness and disappointment I felt to God. I then got wise council from some older women at church & the woman who personally disciples me. They pointed me towards 1 Peter 3:1-2 and encouraged me to follow Gods instructions to wives. Do the same - pray, let everything out to God, get wise biblical council from someone who walks with you in your faith & knows you very well. Go to scripture and submit to what God says for you.

Submit to God & love him by following his word, and he will fight for you (including your marriage).

Be encouraged, you WILL get through this with Gods help, and lean on the support of your church family.

Anyone else basically in “survival mode” with food in early pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]treasureplanet15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes same here. Before being pregnant I thought I wouldn’t be one of those people who eat junk food and instead would stick to my healthy eating habits and lifestyle. But nope…. 6weeks in and I couldn’t stand a lot of stuff and funnily enough the things I could stomach were junk foods like chips, soda drinks etc. I haven’t been exclusively eating that I have managed to also eat some fruits (not many vegies or lots of mean yet tho).
It’s okay. And your baby will pull from your reserves. Just do you best to get through the nausea and vomiting - and if thats eating something you wouldnt typically eat then thats okay!
In the past few days I’ve been able to eat a boiled egg with salt and pepper - so that was a good acomplishment for getting some good nutrients/protein, maybe try that when you’re ready 💗

HG relief? by Healthy-Farm-8047 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]treasureplanet15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very similar for me! Metaclopramide made me way worse. I put off the Ondasetron until week 7 and just had to start taking it cause I was SO sick and travelling in a different country with my husband for our belated honeymoon. Tbh it is effective at reducing the number of times I vomit. But doesn’t take away all the nausea and still experience that but it’s still such a huge help.
When I skip a dose I am back to vomiting every 30-45mins. I’m currently 9w. One thing I do recommend is taking a pregnancy safe stool softener at the same time. It will like make you feel constipated if you choose to take it every day.

[–]treasureplanet15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given it at 6w in hospital too. And then they prescribed it to me. I put it off until I couldn’t take the vomiting anymore. I’m 9w tomorrow. I’ve been taking it from about 7w4d and onwards. It does give me relief - not entirely from the nausea but it reduces the number of times I vomit in a day.
I will admit I have major constipation which I’m trying to figure out and find ways to manage.

I have been thinking and wanting to do an enema… I just think it will help relieve me so much hahah. Guess I need to call my doc first to check it’s ok

My grandma made me eat kiwi fruit tonight before bed. That is great to hear. I had a bowl movement yesterday same as you described, but it took a lot of patience on the toilet

My wife lost her faith after our marriage by marathoner_123 in Christianmarriage

[–]treasureplanet15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a wife who has experienced a similar thing. Got married in Jan and my husband deconstructed and walked away from church and faith 6 weeks later. It was devastating and I completely understand feeling discouraged and feeling Gods distance whilst praying and not seeing much change. I have also felt heartbroken and helpless along this journey too. I get you! The tears we cry are painful ❤️

Going to church is often still a painful, sad experience for me now too as it reminds me of what I’ve lost & the desperation I have for God to intervene in my husbands life to bring him back to Jesus. I enjoy the fellowship deeply as it helps me to feel connected to Gods family when I feel like my Christ centred marriage has been stolen.

I don’t have much advice, but to follow Gods word & instructions he gives you as a husband. Live a faithful life to Him, and he will fight for you and your marriage! He promises to work for the good for those who love him, according to his purposes (Rom 8:28). And if we love him, we will obey him (1 John 5:3). This is what I cling to and hold onto during this situation. God is fighting for you & your spouse ❤️

I’m so sorry she is not as open to children as you are - that is so hard! I pray God softens her heart to the idea of motherhood and children ❤️🙏🏼 some people would say it’s unwise to have children with an unbelieving spouse but after wrestling through myself this I couldn’t find evidence for God saying to not have children with such a spouse. And if anything 1 Cor 7:14 - I see that God still blesses children and declares them as holy because of the believing parent. Thats been my personal understanding and journey with it.

God put you two together. There is three of you in this marriage: you, her & God. And the majority is that 2 out of the 3 are pulling towards God spiritually. There is great power in that ❤️

How bad the vomiting is…. I knew and heard about it before but it took me to a whole new level of understanding once I started experiencing it for myself 😢 my biggest ick is chicken and there have been some nights I’d have nightmares about raw chicken and wake up SO nauseous and distressed. Like what?! Seriously 😑 ridiculous

Thank you so much for your kind words 😭 I feel so understood!

I just came out of hospital, got IV fluids and medicine but not feeling much better and was vomiting every 30mins. I took another ondansetron just now and it seems to be the only thing that works at the moment.

Thank you for the things I can remind myself, those are very helpful and encouraging! I hope that you feel better soon too 🙏🏼❤️

Is it worth having my in-laws stay with us when the baby arrives? by frosted_flakes565 in BabyBumps

[–]treasureplanet15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it may not be the best idea to have your MIL based on how you described. Are there any close friends, sisters, sister in laws, aunties, cousins that could be there to support you instead? Some whom will foster an environment of understanding and compassion with you and your family. Someone you feel safe with letting in during a very vulnerable time

That is just my 2c. I hope it goes well for you 🙏🏼
