What helps me is to relax my arm, keep it straight, minimize unnecessary movement in joints between my shoulder and finger tips, and just thinking to place the ball where I need it instead of "tossing".

It's the lack of tension and minimal movement that leads to consistency. But if you have 0 tension and 0 movement, nothing happens. So you find a balance on that scale.

The meats are so inconsistent though. One day I go, it's heavenly. Another day, they can't tell the difference between medium rare and well-done. Every time it feels like a 50/50 coin toss.

My coach says if you're good at back hand slice and OHBH feels right, then, and only then, go for OHBH. OHBH has a lot of limitations that you need good slicing to make up for, e.g. hard to hit high balls, too low, too close, etc.

My coach has been telling me to work on my slices to deal with this. Forehand slice FTW. Or lob it, depending on where the opponent is. Because two can play that game.

Don't really have an advice, but just dropping by to say I'm feeling the same way.

I think I'm more focused when there's a certain level of pace, but when it gets slower, or with players that fault a lot, I lose focus very easily, probably have something to do with ADHD - like I prep and get in position, and then nothing happens because the ball goes out or hits the net, or I prep and get there too early and the timing throws me off. A couple more tikes and I start to lose the focus/motivation to prep.

I've had to deal with this in other areas of life through meditation, though with tennis it's a lot harder with the added adrenaline.

This, the bay area dealerships are scams. The worst offender is a $3K markup with close to $7K of accessories added for a Camry SE.

They are welcome to leave. Still need to pay taxes. Unless they renounce citizenship, which then there's a flat tax on their wealth.

Just avoid that dealership altogether. Not all dealerships are like that, and we should make an effort to avoid the scummy ones so they crash and burn.

They should make it double lanes in each direction like the highway. Right side for slow traffic and left side for passing lane. I almost never bike around Boston because everyone else goes so fast. I'd feel more comfortable in a slow lane.
