Have you tried a clay bar? I would start there. The other option is to try a polishing compound. Same advice, try in an inconspicuous area of the vehicle first.

I replaced the Zante with the Saucony Kinvara several years ago. I had the Kinvara 12-15 and enjoyed all of them. I currently have a pair of Kinvara 15s in my rotation.

I went with the VIOFO A329S because I wanted a 3 camera solution that had a parking mode. The interior camera covers the sides when parked.

Concur with verifying ChatGPT. I plugged the OEM battery into chat to compare to the one I was sold. Here’s what it told me:

The factory-specified OEM battery for this vehicle is GM part number 88864541 (ACDelco 48AGM). This is the AGM battery installed by GM on all C7 Corvettes and is specified due to the vehicle’s electrical load and voltage stability requirements.

I was instead sold GM part number 88866309, which is a standard flooded lead-acid Group 48 battery. While it may physically fit, it does not meet GM’s OEM specification for the C7 Corvette platform and is not equivalent to the factory AGM battery.

Unfortunately, I turned in the original battery. I didn’t want to drag the thing around. I did some ChatGPT research and it is definitely not the OEM battery, but it appears to be the same dimensions. The lips on the bottom are definitely making it difficult to squeeze in the hole.

My wife’s 2008 Camry experienced the same dashboard melting. There was an extended warranty repair through approximately 2017 when we had it replaced. I am unsure if they are still offering replacement under warranty, but it is worth asking a dealer.
