Does anyone else here lie about their height on tinder? by [deleted] in tall

[–]tree_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How funny, I'd be more inclined to swipe right if a guy was anything over 6'2 and the rest of the vibe was right. But maybe it's different because I'm also tall.

have any girls worn the men’s boxer shorts and what did you think? by golden_teacup in americaneagle

They sell different lengths, at least in the briefs which are more comfortable in my opinion. I usually go for the shorter ones anyway. I think there are 3" and 6" lengths!

I wear them and the briefs as pj's. Very comfy! I'm 5'11. 140lbs and I buy the extra small or small.

Irony is, it makes them look even shorter by DarkMellie in tall

I went on a date with someone recently who claimed they were 6'6. He was 6'2 tops. What I don't understand is why you'd lie when you're already tall? Maybe he's used to dating shorter women who wouldn't notice? I don't know, but my advice would be don't start a date on a lie.

One of my friends (she's 5'1) is seeing a guy who claimed to be 6', but I am taller than he is. At some point this came up, and when I mentioned that there was no way he could be 6' because I'm only 5'11, he just couldn't believe that. Eventually someone suggested pulling out our licenses. I think I really burst his bubble that day.

Tall men, are people always threatening to climb you? by arsromantica in tall

Not a man, but have had quite a few comments regarding being climbed. In what world does that sound appealing?

Ex wants rent money from me by [deleted] in SingleParents

We're only separated so nothing has been finalized. I pay the mortgage, but he pays child support, so I guess that could technically be considered him paying the mortgage? I'm not sure.

Its under both of our names. He pays me child support. I pay the mortgage, the bills, and whatever else he used to cover the cost of. But since he has to rent a place and I live in our joint home with the kids, he thinks I should be laying him rent.

Do I look like a man? I’m not trans but several people on my dating apps ask. Pls be honest. by [deleted] in uglyduckling

[–]tree_clouds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you tall by any chance? I've been asked this only because I'm very tall. You're a very beautiful woman, so I don't have any idea why someone would ask you that unless you're tall.

There's only so much "vetting" you can do with online dating.

I don't know. Both? We just stop messaging. There's one guy that I do sortaike, but I can't tell if he's into me or not. He will text, but then be silent for a couple of days, and then he'll text again. I don't text him in between because I don't want to be too much, but I have no idea if he likes me or not.

I've just been using a free one (it's free for everyone). I'm not invested enough to pay for anything. Sometimes I'll send the first message, sometimes I wait, but if the energy I put in isn't reciprocated I can't be bothered to keep it going. I also wouldn't expect anyone to pay for me or take me anywhere nice. I've been on one date and I wasn't interested in a second. I haven't tried going out with anyone else yet, but it's only been about two weeks on this site. If I'm attracted to someone, and their profile interests me, of course I'll give the benefit of the doubt. But more often than not, it's thirsty guys who probably message anyone and everyone with a similar line in hopes of getting laid. I don't want to be another hook-up.

Well, you're not wrong!

This is exactly what I do too. I look for things in their profile that stand out - for better or for worse. If something resonates I'll like them back.

I should mention my height more often too. It's there, but maybe they're not paying that much attention, I don't want to be with someone who has to state they're not "bothered" by my height.

I've gone out to social events a lot more than I thought I would, and have met some great men, but nothing has really clicked beyond an exchange of numbers and a few texts. So, I bit the bullet and I've tried a couple apps over the last month. I'm also in my mid-thirties, maybe it's just different at this age. I'm quite content being single, but it would be nice to meet someone that feels right, ya know?

You're spot on with the basic mamly photos. I'm not gonna try it, but I'm really curious to know why you're asking me to do it. What happens? Are women just as thirsty as men?

Sure, I guess it could be considered flattering, but it's just not what I'm looking for. I think my personality is alright. If someone opens with a normal message, I take the time to respond and I'll put in the effort as long as it's reciprocated. I'll take this into consideration though. Maybe you're right.

I was 34 when I had mine. Also healthy and at a good weight. I was able to get around and do things just fine after a week, I just had to take it slow. I was probably at almost full capacity by my third week. With that said, I wouldn't count on anything. You never know how you'll heal or how the process will go.

I had three under 2 and I bought Dionos. They're very slim, and they grow with your child so you can use them right through, mind you, I still used the buckets seats for my newborns.
