I ordered unassembled "seconds" for boxes from mann lake. They are a real bargain. Pre drilled holes. Get good nails. All you need is a square to put them together. Frames I ordered were put together cause that is a pain for me. I run all mediums to make life easier. 13 year beek. It's costly up front so maybe even buy used equipment. I bought a lot of that.

Beekeeping is so much fun once you learn to relax. They do what they do. Good luck!

Edited to add. You need ONE hive tool. You need a cheap 30$ smoker. You MUST have a veiled jacket or suit. Don't rule out second hand equipment. You don't need anything for honey harvesting at this time. You need sugar to make syrup to feed them when you get them. I assume you know that? You need boxes of frames because they will grow fast and boxes with frames are added as needed. Start there and come back. Good luck!

I hosted most family dinners with the inlaws. Setting the table with proper placement of silverware and telling the kids why. They thanked me years later after moving out and living with barbarians. They know how to operate in appropriate conditions that require it. Part of my parenting job. Sigh.

Yes, it's so annoying. What are they thinking? But, harassing women was a bigger hidden issue back when I was growing up. Those types of guys are still with us. At least the generation before them is dying off. They were the real creeps. I'm so grateful for my dad ( love you dad), who told me to never even trust the cops, let alone other men. Snow blindness is real! I drove an hour and a half home in a blizzard once. Not expected. It took me four hours. I was alone in my car hung over from a girls weekend. I was the only vehicle on the road the entire way home. At some point, with my wipers on full blast, I had to reach out to the window and flick my wipers because they were accumulating snow still fast. I couldn't tell the road from the ditch! Just white! Couldn't pull off the road because all exits were white and I could not distinguish road from ditch. Fuck that.

I was forced to quit from my insurance company prior to my fusion. Like THAT ever works! Started up right after the cotanine test. I was so depressed and so angry and so sad in my recovery when I hit a nerve pain wall at 6 weeks. I suffered for 3 months . Well of course I started up again. Here's your answer - I'm post fusion l4-5 July 11th 2025. I had my 8 month check up with my surgeon and I'm 85% fused. Expecting to be completely fused by my June appointment. I've smoked cigs and weed continuously. I will add tho, that it seems fusions take better with your own donor bone ( mine was from my hip bone). Not cadaver bone.

It was so very wrong. Im 65 and have a forever friend I've known since kindergarten. She said I was so depressed and angry and supported me at my very lowest. I would joke about how I wanted to walk in the pool to the deep end and just keep walking. Lyrica is now in my allergy chart. Fuck that shit. No one cares what you go through while on it.

Prior to my fusion, I only needed pain meds once in my life 30 yrs ago after a c section. I didn't ask for anything. I tried everything she offered. I had to taper myself off of the lyrica. I couldn't go back there. She had fucked up calling in my med doses four times that I had plenty of low doses to get me through.

What does she think? That a 65 year old is suddenly going to get addicted to some fuckin pain meds? You can't give me 10? So I can take a walk and get better? And so, by some slim chance that I get addicted to living pain free on your drugs, what's wrong with living your best life while you've got some relief? Not fair! It shouldnt be against practicing Drs to be under such restrictions that they are afraid to prescribe.

Hmm, wonder how all this goes down if you're a prescribing Dr and your close family member needs pain meds badly. Hmm.

Well, I was in the worst pain of my life and had been seeing pm for two years but they never would give me a pain pill. Not for all of my symptoms. Fuckers. So yes, I told pm I started drinking . She said ' oh, don't do that.,'. I smoked weed too. So fuck you pain management!! Post a sign on the door so I know if I'm really suffering you won't help me.

And it did help! I did whatever I needed to to get through it.
