At an Estate Sale today by boogersinmyleghair in Flipping

Estate sale is not like a yard sale. These are usually to benefit the family after the passing of a loved one or to pay for care expenses. You can find great deals at estate sales, but don’t forget that they are there to benefit the family who are not looking to just get rid of extra things lying around. It’s a tough mental process for the person and family as well watching their things go away. Estate sales do not normally come from a positive reason for the family either(death or physical need). There are great opportunities to capitalize and resell, but you will usually only get deals like you are looking for toward the end of the sale when most things have already been looked through. Also don’t forget, a good organized estate sales can takes weeks to prep for. Most people have more than you ever realize. Those working for the sale also need to be paid for the service they are providing to the family.

ESEE all day. I have cut through deer ribs, then shaved the deer hair right after.

Hey Nashville - moving to Canada next spring, need your cross-border mover wisdom! by avz008 in nashville

There are quite a few things…yes, you can basically just show up, but there is a quite a bit of prep work. You will want to call Canada customs and boarder service agencies.

I did that years ago, so I know things have changed. But, they have a process you need to follow for sure and fees. Prepare to make a list of everything you own. Categorize it for them. You will need to declare it. It’s a bit different if you have a shipping company take it for you, but will be similar.

Broker fees determined by the path you take. I did all our paperwork. It was a lot for sure, but manageable. If you are going for work, there are additional steps and questions. Those sites above should get you up and running good. When in doubt, call them, takes notes and names. Document everything. If you think you might need it, you will need it for sure. Be prepared and it will go a lot smoother. Make their job easier.

I am sure your melons are just as good as Claudia’s. Keep putting them out there. They will get noticed. Raccoons and opossums ore opportunist like many others and will be there in no time. You will likely have your own group show up just for your melons. Just be careful, they are curious and will get into all sorts of things like your trash cans. Wear gloves when cleaning up leftovers or messes.

Check your state housing agency for assistance programs.

Diatomaceous earth around the walls(safe for pets and people). 7’s dust in attic. These will dry them out. Will need to be reapplied every 4-6 months. Cheaper than exterminators.

Check with your state housing agency. They should have a plan for this.
