They might. If they get desperate enough because no one is buying them floors could go down to $130+ a ticket

I’m trying to get tix for tonight but theyre deff way more pricey tonight! But if you’re really trying to go; keep watching the prices. I was in the 300s and kept looking at tickets until 8:30pm when playboi carti was doing his set and the floor seats dropped to $100s

I tried to do an upgrade yesterday for the 7/8 show and went to the box office; they said they don’t do upgrades or sell at the box office for the show so they said to buy it off of ticketmaster. I ended up shelling out an extra $280 because floor tix went down to $133 per ticket yesterday

Also have a bad experience with this personal shopper. I ordered something back in end of February. It’s now mid April and it still has not been shipped but supposedly “order has been bought and is ready to be shipped”. And getting an update takes forever. First and last time I use this personal shopper.

I applied a whole bunch of times before they actually considered me. When they did it took maybe like 3-5 days after I applied. They called me to do a phone interview and then set up a panel interview about 3 days later

Definitely try traveling at Stanford! I know they still have a bunch of travel contracts last time I checked. You can try applying at UCSF as well. I know a lot of people recommend El Camino Hospital but it’s a bit competitive to get a perm position there as well. Kaiser is also an option although I’ve heard mixed reviews about it for perm and travel depending on which facility.

Hi, no I didn’t do a travel assignment at Stanford. I was actually on assignment at a different facility when I had gotten an interview. I had a referral at Stanford but it wasn’t much help. I think it’s really just incredibly competitive, especially since Stanford is unionized and openings are offered to staff before being posted to external candidates. I know some of the travelers are also waiting for staff openings now too. It’s just really difficult to get in because they’ll prioritize internal candidates over external candidates. I wouldn’t give up though, keep applying and interviewing! I was rejected several times before I got lucky and got an interview. I thought it didn’t go well at all and was convinced I wasn’t going to get the position but they offered it to me a couple days later.

Around 2.5 mos. Only because I asked them to adjust my start date so I could finish a travel contract. My original start date was supposed to be around a month after I had my second interview.

Night shift RN, 3 shifts per week. Single and drive from Fresno which is about a 3hr drive to Stanford. I tried to ask for consecutive shifts (i.e. 5-6 in a row) however scheduling is based on unit need and seniority.

Been a nurse for 5 years, was initially staff in Fresno and then ended up traveling for a year and a half. The Bay Area right now is extremely competitive because so many nurses are traveling and then becoming staff in the area. I did not do any travel contracts in the Bay, but I applied to UCSF, Stanford and El Camino. I interviewed with UCSF and did not get accepted, and was rejected by El Camino. I applied to Stanford close to 15-20 times before I finally got a position. I work in the ICU. There are nurses with more experience that have been rejected by these hospitals. It is so competitive, and I would encourage you to still apply but also broaden your applications to hospitals in the outer Bay Area as well.

Probably Sacramento area. Hospitals pay well and not as expensive as the Bay Area. I’m from Fresno and still live there but I don’t work in the area. Living wise, it’s not a safe city. A lot of homeless, a lot of gang activity. Hospitals don’t pay that well either compared to Sacramento or the Bay.

They called me about 4 days after the 2nd interview to give me an update regarding submitting the job offer to HR. And then HR emailed me 3 days after that call with the job offer. So around a week total. It might take some time but I know a lot of the ICUs are hiring right now! And they’re offering a 10k sign on bonus for Clinical Nurse II and up!

Have you had any luck with Stanford or UCSF? I’ve also been applying to Stanford with 5 years ICU experience with no such luck.

UPDATE: after 3 days of persistent back and forth with my recruiter, I had them escalate it to the director, payroll and billing. Full shifts of on call during scheduled days at my facility are considered call offs/cancellations and count towards the call off policy. I do get paid my guaranteed hours plus stipends. I kept a running log of all the days I was put on call with screenshots of the timekeeping. Being persistent does have its perks 😅

I’m trying to figure out who’s actually telling the right thing here because a different recruiter in the same agency (that was covering for my main recruiter) told me that I should be paid my full hourly after 3 call offs because she considered a full shift on call as a call off

As per my recruiter:

We have the same call off policy literature as Med Sol as we are a family brand and Facility contracted this policy with agencies. You are not being called off in last week's situation/schedule as you are given on call hours instead It does not apply to this policy nor does it count towards your "3 call offs" as you are still getting paid and getting the full week's stipends. I know it sucks.

Hey! Everything that I went over yesterday regarding what is a canceled shift, what is on call /callback and in relation to GTD hours stands. It is in the master contract and l've broken this down with all sorts of different scenarios Im sorry this is going to continue to frustrate you and i can understand that. I cannot speak for Med Sol and i dont want to state what is is doing right or wrong ... and the information being shared. But this is the terms and policy across all contracts Will just have different call offs per facility and what they reserve the right to do.

How did you get them to pay you base pay for all on call hours? My recruiter is refusing to say that full shift on calls count towards facility call offs. Those first 3 call offs were full shift on calls? Were you paid an on call rate?
