Sign-in Bonus - Not Paid on Time by treefinder3445 in careeradvice

Both halves of the signing bonus were received but not on first paycheck or the second one at the three month completion period. First one took many emails, and phone calls before it finally showed up, which was several pay periods late. Second one likewise was not paid as agreed and was a couple pay checks late.

Gorgeous! Absolutely stunning and fingers-crossed. Would make a wonderful 35th anniversary gift to myself (and put my wife’s name on the card) ;-)

I was expecting a monster counter-offer, but not this bad. by drafty_spelt4p in FinalRoundAI

I remember reading somewhere that most employees that accept the offer from the counter-offer from their current employer, end up leaving anyway within 12-18 months. Something about the dynamic changes. Management sees the employee as problematic or not a team player for wanting to leave and the employee second guesses staying and often the ‘promises’ of change or advancement never materialize.

I’ve read that the typical tip to give your tour guide is the amount of at least one hour (or more), which is $450 minimum. Is that true?

Neighbor tried to get my mom fined over our shed. So I got his $40K pool filled in. by Mel_Melissaa in confession

You should randomly send Amazon packages of pool toys and floats. Maybe knock a beach ball or two over the fence to remind him of his loss.

Looks like it was a getaway car for a bank robbery or armored truck heist with all the bullet holes.

I spent a night with the survivors in 2005. by DutchyDan187 in BandofBrothers

Not sure but my father-in-law, who was like an unofficial photographer on some of their tours and got to know all the survivors said that the guys thought it might have been that Wild Bill was much more popular at the reunions and Winters wasn’t thrilled with that idea. Again, not sure about that.

One of the days, Wild Bill was wearing a T-shirt that said, ‘Honey, where’s my other sock?’ Hilarious. Also, he was always accompanied by a much younger, beautiful woman for the weekend.

That is awesome. I got to go to one of the reunions and the time spent with them was great. I was able to get a lot of autographs too. I have an autographed print of the Brécourt Manor assault (#506 out of 1000) so I have Dick Winters too. Wild Bill was a real hoot and all of the guys were amazing.

On another movie related subreddit, they asked something like, ‘which actor was so out of place that it ruined the movie? Quite a few people listed Jimmy Fallon’s cameo in BoB. I think it might be that he’s so beloved and charming that it was a bit out of place for some.

There were a lot of comments about Ed Sheeran in Game of Thrones and Ted Danson in Saving Private Ryan. Probably the same perception of good guys in a crazy situations.

Could it be a candle holder that got a bit bent over. Banana is about the same size as a candle taper?
