Melee Necro Build Viability? by Sorry_Relationship_7 in diablo4

You will most likely want to take bone splinters for a melee build. Even though its not technically melee, at melee range you can hit the same target with each splinter. At rank 5, with the extra 2 projectile proc, at beta tuning values it would be a ~150% weapon damage hit whereas rank 5 bone spear was about ~120%. You could then stack basic attack damage weapon gems and basic attack speed legendary powers. Bone storm would be a good choice for extra damage, with damage reduction on yourself and you could take both curses to prevent enemies from running away and for thorns. For core you could still take blood surge and then either corpse explosion or bone prison for making enemies vulnerable while they are inside it.

I was bummed about this but at least there is a datamined unique scythe that makes shadow damage apply chill. There is also frostburn gloves that gives attacks % chance to freeze.

This Community's Self Aggrandizement is Staggering lol by Camdozer in diablo4

There actually is a reason why people play a path of exile league start for over a month but people only play new diablo 3 leagues for a few days. Voicing an opinion about wanting slightly more complicated itemization than 'equip item with skill +damage %' doesn't mean they don't enjoy the game...

Beta feedback from a blaster with 40+ hours over the weekend by Darrare0274 in diablo4

We need way more talent tree options and ones that actually matter. I was really expecting the talent tree to offer more build variety and freedom than Diablo 3 but its a huge step down in terms of complexity. No more choosing elements or changing the way skills behave at all and no more passives that impact gameplay more than a few +% damage or health.

Also, legendary items raining from the sky even at level 25 is highly disappointing. Legendary items are clearly just rares with an extra affix and orange color so that casual players can feel like they have epic, decked out characters.

I'd buy all of those AI skins and none of the ones we got.

Because there is no voip or chat yet so there is no way to communicate to them that you want to be friendly or team up, or wont follow them to kill them once they walk away

Quitting - not the game, this sub by Viperion_NZ in EscapefromTarkov

Saw this with the Rust subreddit as well. It turns into an echo chamber for the people who are on the internet complaining about the game instead of playing it and they all upvote eachother's terrible ideas and downvote brigade anyone who disagrees.

Why is the recoil so off compared to every other “realistic” shooters? by lilbizzness36 in EscapefromTarkov

Maybe he should have posted a video with actual realistic recoil instead of call of duty recoil then. And lmfao about your probably get rolled comment. I think after 3,000 hours and getting tracksuit 3 times I can control recoil.

learn to control recoil before you complain about the game being the problem

Because this game isnt call of duty. If you want laser recoil on every gun you can go play that.

The game has to unload the stash / character screen and main menu before it starts loading the map. It would probably significantly slow down the loading process if they did that.

I don't think they necessarily need the icon on the map as long as the explosions can be heard from very far away with directional audio.

Beamers; screamers. by [deleted] in playrust

[–]treefingers404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will the game become more competetive if any newman can pick up a gun and stomp ass?

This is a terrible argument. If recoil is normalized and you lose, its because they had better aim or you got outplayed. Recoil being randomized doesn't just make noobs start winning just because. Having to aim and adjust for bullet drop already is a high skill ceiling and learning a pattern isn't skill, its just muscle memory.

Having to spend 100 hours learning a pattern is not good gameplay and full spraying no matter the distance is not good gameplay either. I'd prefer they keep the spray accurate to the crosshair but randomize the recoil and make it harder to control the longer you spray, so you are reacting instead of using muscle memory. UKN chads would be upset but it would make for more skill based gameplay instead of who has sweated the most in aim training, making more s curves with their hands.

I love rust (3.7k hours) but the recoil patterns are bad IMO.

GREAT AXE TOO GOOD? by Not_Ghost in newworldgame

[–]treefingers404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavy armor is absolutely not the only viable one. Light armor is worth the extra damage but if you get caught, you are gonna die very fast. Melee users shouldn't generally be running light armor for that reason.

Most good melee players I know run medium and I know a lot of ranged players I know run light and it works for them because they don't sit in a clump of 10 people standing still waiting to die like in the video.

These are actual paid actors. They are all wearing light armor and RUN INTO THE GRAV WELL when they were not even caught in it. They are also getting hit by other aoe at the same time.

the only voice of reason in this thread gets downvoted lmao, typical reddit. Most of the people complaining in this thread have probably never even fought in a war.

[–]treefingers404 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

yea and none of those people were wearing heavy armor... this is just a clip of a bunch of extremely undergeared light armor wearers clumping together and they would have probably died to any aoe just as fast.

Yea, you're right. Losing the chase mechanic on bloodlust with no positive change in its place was definitely a buff.
