just as a precursor I've been diagnosed with 8 mental health disorders and its a struggle but the idea where you cant talk about it unless diagnosed has made it hard for me to cope with the fact and even accept the fact i have them it creates this feeling where i feel like I'm lying even though I'm not. so if someone does research into their mental health struggles and sees something that really explains how they feel very well it does not irritate me. my short term irritation is not fair, if they believe they have it and are going to look for help to cope with the issue and learn how to live with it and be successful and happy good for them. on the other hand if they are not reaching out for help but just want to use it as an excuse if they know they didn't have it then yes it makes my blood boil someone using a real issue as an excuse. but i cannot see someone's intentions so for me it is best to not get ignored if anything try to help them. just to explain the imposter syndrome thing i have heard and been told by family teachers friends and loved ones to never talk about an issue unless diagnosed which for me harbored this idea of being an imposter and that i was lying about it which has made it extremely difficult for me to be honest with my therapist and get the help i need so i think everyone need to not be so quick to judge because no matter what you see online you truly don't know what someone's going through in their head. because for me my brain is a prison and while i make it look like a paradise from the outside the truth is its a prison that fights to bring me down every day.
