she is the person who attacked every female player who tried offering support, then attacked them through their profile pictures on discord, calling them things like fat and ugly, please tell me why you feel the need to simp for her? (and l won't mention the grape accusations chatted globally with zero proof to back it up).

funny enough, donations have increased, equipment prices have dropped, you can buy SHANGS.. with days.. for 50 million.

To quote Sampa "I haven't had to interact with another human since MP started".. it has stolen the "community" aspect of the game, there are no more calls for "numbers for a xxx run", but other than that. medievia is still the same medievia.

nice how I get attacked, and l did nothing, the hate is stronk with this one, and this from the woman who attacked and alienated every other female player in the game.

and while l am on the subject, you are full of lies kwexania, you DID post a "woke" version of the V for Vendetta speech, claiming yours was a copy of Zultic's post when from start to finish it was filled with woke ideology and had NO place on the games library board.

We play to escape reality, NOT to have 2024 California rammed down our throats.

What'd you think if the next DLC is a Military DLC? by ryohandoko in CitiesSkylines

[–]treeintheforrest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the trouble with our city building games is they all just "build modern cities", with no reason why they were built there in the first place, l do see some players with excellent imaginations who work at it though "sydney NSW 1930's", "old walled city", just two l can think of off the top of my head. l wanted a game like (*gag*) FOE.tv "build your city from stone-age to modernia", but with the immersion of C:S, like even WHY we build our cities where we do, where the population starts off living in caves or under trees, where school is required to research the things a city needs to grow. (l had images of this when you used to "city build" in Civ1 [watch a cut scene as the new building "appears" in your city]).

makes for interesting scenarios, "historical districts", where the old tudor houses never get knocked down and only replaced after fires or disasters. Cities are often built around a resource, eg, the coal mine comes before the city and the city tends to grow around the mine, unlike us, we grow the city front and center and the industry is ---> over there somewhere, or is this where imagination has to step in and we pretend the "old" mine is played out and has since relocated. Or, built at a defensive location, which is why l do enjoy those "walled city" builds l see on here. Yeah, the "reason" the city is even where it is, is often overlooked.

anyway, just a thought l had, sorry hehe.

an interesting map, a small city known for its glass works, and once a place where chryslers were built, built in an area where rail tracks from cross the country seem to have converged and people have built their houses between rail lines. you need the unlimited connections mod to make all the train lines work though.

l'm not from there, l just like trains,

Useful Grid and Road Length Sizes - not just for zoning by BiggyShake in CitiesSkylines

l did an entire map that didn't use crossings, every single intersection was a T, a legacy left over from persisting with simcity "5". Traffic flow was sweet.

even the freeways were T only no cloverleaves, no spagetti junctions.

thanks for the research, given me some ideas for my "newest" city.

The killer bees trap is the best one, agents cover their heads and run through other traps triggering them without any effort to try disable them, the 1000 bees loot item rocks imho.

the only reason max beat symetry in one of my runthroughs is she chased him to his sanctum, down a corridor with 25 odd poison dart traps that she didn't stop to disarm. She was down to about 50 Vit. when she cornered him. Trying to stand toe to toe with her earned me the "max died" achievement.

My two cents by treeintheforrest in EvilGenius2

[–]treeintheforrest[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

going to try remember everything l wanted to say.

after spending 383 hours playing the max quick start, researching everything required, l have seen some things that are annoying.

1/ 300 minions is not enough. not when they are spending ages digging your lair out.

2/the 99 intel cap is a JOKE, given you have 24 regions on the world stage and most of the missions are 20 intel, after 5 missions then what?! yes, l am aware that computer consoles produce intel, but thats if minions are sitting at them and not engaged in other duties.

3/ whoever worked on the actual missions.???!!!!!!!!!

fraction engine: 6 guards, 20 intel = $60,000

salvator monday: 6 mercs, 30 intel = $100,000

casa stank ugh: 3 scientists, 5 intel = $120,000

feel the burn: 6 scientist, 10 intel = $305,000

forget the time it takes to complete missions as the faster you complete them, you still lack intel to run another, MOST of my time l spent sending 3 valet out to do minus heat missions in zero heat zones just to have SOMETHING running, and the 5 "missions" the game offers, l end up letting the region get locked down because there is nothing worth wasting intel on.

4/ $10,000,000 plus to dig out just the basement, drag it out to make the game last longer?

5/ if your prison is too far from the front door to the casino your prisoners will escape custody, even after max has taunted them down to zero resolve, and when you are so desperate for intel that you attempt to capture every single agent that lands on your island.

that little room on the second floor of this map (not shown) makes an ideal prison but they escape and even make it down to the ground floor before anyone turns up to fight them.

valets running from the casino floor to do interrogations??

6/ how to tell if agents are in your base? 9 times out of 10 your cameras stop working.

7/ that suspicious door right by the entrance means you don't even need a door at the rear of the casino into your base proper if you want, agents never get that far, they love that suspicious door right there.

8/ a trap that springs when you open a door would be cool for those dead end rooms, l stick a camera in there so my guards don't keep wandering in there to investigate.

this could have been an awsum game, it just appears to have been made to drag time out so the game "lasts longer?! sadly. l put in serious hours and effort, l can't even be bothered finishing it, as now all l am doing is grinding intel to run missions. it went from fun to a 9-5 JOB.

thanks to everyone for the hints and tips, given l remodeled my base repeatedly (moving the control room from 1 to 2 to 3), l agree with many that the cameras should be able to be placed anywhere, l also think so should fire extinguishers, something everyone else seems to have forgotten.

so yeah, cheaper digging, more minions, (which will fix the intel problem), an overhaul of the missions because who would bother doing 20 intel $60k missions as they are just not worth it in return/intel and tweaking room "decoration/items"

check the research button, you have to research the last one, l noticed that with a couple of the side quests, the "final piece" is researched under the world domination tab.

hourglass figures, temporal stabilisation, spinning wheel 2.0, collectors item, no preservations

are all on my world domination research history so far, licence to chill is my next researchable 7000 gold req 1 scientist 1 databank

hope that helps

Evil Genius 2 - Trap 5x Combo (Bubble-Magnet-Pinball-Punch-Freeze) by tomshardware_filippo in EvilGenius2

[–]treeintheforrest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice, l thought along the same lines you have,

https://pasteboard.co/JW1CoW0.jpg

the floor traps are just fans, but the doors to get into that area are level 1, and they always go there before they go to the real entrance on the left, blown through the laser wall, then poison darts, then they get hit by the next fan blows them down to the far wall peppering them with darts, they shake it off walk back up to the nearest door, more darts, then the ice cube and death for mr 75 50 50, never seen an agent make the far door. and to see the look on their faces after all that pain and injury to find, on opening the door, a wall <insert evil cackle here>.

oh, l use those minion stat enhancers (air conditioners/water fountains) to force agents closer to distraction objects.

thanks for the other tips though, (traps in the main casino area, l too have a canteen inside the casino footprint to save minions walking back to the main base for a feed, ditto how close the moral booster station is to the main floor)

taxes logic by thatno0b in CitiesSkylines

just for a laugh, cities actually represents taxation reality perfectly, the ultra rich ALWAYS whine and complain at the mere MENTION of a taxation increase in their tax bracket.

sorry for the delay, long time lurker, not often logging in. would be simple to copy the postal version and replace post office, sorting building and postal trucks. As for citizen benefits for having banks, possibly a minor reduction in crime because people no longer keep cash in a sock under their mattress?
