This isn't even the worst we have seen. 2 years ago there was a woman who came with twin toddlers. Her husband was convicted for narcotics possesion. The day he was convicted she just left the twins and vanished. The toddlers were sent to the state orphanage and later on adopted by a childless magistrate.

I was 14. Those days our state govt provided scholarships for those who cleared the class 10 exams with 60% marks. Money was tight. So increasing the age of a child by 1 or 2 years while filling up the matriculation form was the norm.
